I hate Chuck e cheese. A lot. Hadn't been till the in laws took everyone on Saturday, and oh my goodness. Dd was miserable and my 3 1/2 year old was covering his ears half the time.
I was scared of the Chuck e Cheese characters when I was little too. I plan on DS not knowing that place exists as long as I can get away with it. That, and Elf on the Shelf.
I also hate other places that are the indoor playground type things like rough and tumble, discovery zone, etc. In theory they seem great and fun, but people just turn their kids loose, even really young ones and let them run, scream, push, climb up the slides act like monsters etc and don't even get me started on the germs! I am admittedly a bit of a germ freak, but it is just gross people bring their obviously sick kids and turn them loose to snot on and germ everything up!

I agree and I'm not even a germ freak. I don't take my kid to te local soft playrooms unless it's for a birthday party they were invited to, because peak ole don't watch their kids, and get judgy at me for watching mine. Ds has been pushed and glut a few times at those places. MIL was making fun of me for wanting to know where ds was at all times. Her reasoning "they check the hand stamp and don't let anyone but you take your kids outside here." Is that supposed to be comforting? He's 3!
I don't find it relaxing to have others watch LO. When with family, everyone keeps telling me it must be like a vacation since everyone wants to play with him. I love that they love him, but I feel like it's actually more work for me to seem relaxed and also be monitoring things.

Really? Luckily I know that my MIL, SIL, mom and sister are all damn good parents... better than me in fact... so I feel perfectly comfortable and relaxed letting them take over.

They are all great--but I still can't walk away and relax. I think it's more my problem than theirs...but it is what it is, I guess. Maybe once he's more independent, I will be too...

I feel you. I have two brothers so I know my mom is more than capable of watching my daughter. I feel like no one knows LO as well as I do and I think that's what makes me uneasy. I always know (well, most of the time) what she wants or needs and someone who doesn't know her as well might not.
My UO, there are entirely too many Birthday party threads.
Similarly, I think people put way too much effort into birthday parties. Dammit Pinterest! I'm also not looking forward to the age when we're going to end up going to birthday parties every weekend.
Yes! Birthday parties used to be simple and you just had fun... they didn't have to have a theme or anything beyond a loose organization! That's pretty much the way I roll.

I finally thought of one. Rudy Giuliani is a smart, thoughtful and articulate man, as well as a great leader. I wish he'd had more success the year sought the republican nomination for president.
Alright this gave me an idea for a UO. I like our president and believe he is fixing our country even with the republicans cock-blocking everything. I don't plan to argue this because I hate political arguments.

I have a great respect for our president as well, and support him just as much as I did the first time he ran for the office.
Ya know what drives me CRAZY? When someone asks how the baby is sleeping and you tell them, "eh, not awesome, he's still waking up about twice a night". Then they proceed to tell you "ooooh, that's not that bad! It could be much worse!". Um, yes it could be worse. But it also could be a lot better.
Birthday party themes. Especially for a baby who has no way of knowing if he loves, say, baseball. When people ask if we're doing a theme I say: "Birthday!" That's the theme.
Re: UO?
Juicy, I know.
Im trying to come up with one, but Im dry! Let me think on this a bit
