Doc Office Gripefest

so I was having issues with extreme reflux every night. It was so bad that I was having to fast food & water for about 12 hrs a night! On top of that, I was told I was anemic too. I called the doc office 3 times to talk to the nurse there, telling her my issues & wanting to hear back on how much iron I'm supposed to be taking. Long story short, for a week and a half, they forgot to call me back!

So my last doc visit, I told the doc about this. To my surprise, she called both the nurse & the front desk girl into my examination room & confronted them. :0 I wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble, but bring at the end of my pregnancy, I really needed to have some answers.

Needless to say, my next appointment was set for 2 weeks later, (which was yesterday). I got to the office, no one appeared to be there! The parking lot looked almost empty. I walked in & the office was clearly not fully up & running. I asked what was going on, & they told me the doc had a family emergency & had to cancel her appts for the day... Yet no one bothered to call me. They didn't even have me on the schedule yesterday, although my appt card clearly said yesterday at 2pm.

They apologized & rescheduled me for today at 2pm. I can't help wonder if those girls are trying to get me back for getting them in trouble last time I was there...

I realize it could just be coincidence....

The doc's office reviews were amazing, which was why I chose this doctor... Just not seeing it via my own experience. Anyone else have this sort of thing happening to them?

I can't say they are getting back at you, but I will say it was unprofessional of your doctor to confront then in front of you. That is human management 101. If they didn't have you down, I will assume that is why they didn't give you a call. Hopefully you won't have any issues today. I've had issues each time I get to my new doctor, but she is the sweetest so I'm trying to over look it. When they mess up they are very apologetic, so even though I'm pissed I'm a bigger person and let it go. I have 4-5 visits left before delivery, so finding a new doc won't be happening. So give your doc office a chance and it may get better.

That's where I'm at. I'm at the end, so not about to change now. She's a GREAT doctor & I'm very happy.

I think the reason she called them out about not calling me back 3 times is because I'm not the only patients she has heard this from & I think she just wanted them to finally hear it from a patient's mouth. She really doesn't strike me as the unprofessional type...

Anyhow, it's probably a simple mistake with what happened yesterday. I'm probably overly sensitive because of hormones, lol
