Sorry everyone! Remember I said I hated my new computer? I still do, and right now it's already being 'fixed'. So yesterday I was on mobile and totally forgot to post the check in! Now I'm on my ipad and the formatting is terrible. What is up? I am the worst at technology.

    3. Temping/charting, sex (but not much) :(

    4. Waiting to O.  Should be any day now.

    5. Seriously I don't really know how I feel.  I'm really bummed that it hasn't happened yet and I know that after this cycle I would be able to go to an RE, but H is adamant that we are not going to do anything "medical" to get pregnant.

QOTW: Who is your celebrity crush?
I am completely in love with Colin Firth.  There is just something about him.

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.

    5. Well, if this thing is right I have PGAL brain right now.  I still think it is too early but we will see.

OOTW: Joe Magliano.  Oh my.  Oh my. Oh my. Yum!  SO is not a big fan of his to say the least. hehehe

    1. Aus from Baltimore

    2. TTC #1, trying since September 2013

    3. This month is our first IUI (we're going to try two then move to IVF). I'm taking 50mg of Clomid CD5-9, and I go in for an US and bloodwork on CD12 (I usually O on CD13 or 14). Then it's progesterone for two weeks. Other than that, PNV, a healthy diet, limited booze and caffeine, and regular exercise. One random perk is that I've dropped two pounds this week!

    4. CD7.

    5. I'm feeling hopeful, but also somewhat resigned to the fact that we'll probably wind up doing IVF. At this point I my patience is close to nil, and I think the Clomid is making me crabby.

QOTW: Who is your celebrity crush?
Hrm. Stephen Amell, who plays Arrow on the CW. Need I say more - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuJk69zP0No

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
Luckily friends and in-laws are being really supportive, but my sister has really let me down lately and she was always someone who was in my corner. Any time the subject of infertility comes up, she launches into jokes and stories about her friend Anne and her kids, no matter how many times I tell her that's like joking about sandwiches to a starving person. I mean, really, why on Earth do I want to hear blather about a woman I barely know who gets pregnant at the drop of a hat? How is that supposed to make me feel better? So I'll be keeping her out of the loop from here on out. (Wow, that was rantier than I thought.)
Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.

Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.

UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....

    1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
    Heather from MN

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    TTC #2, 6th medicated cycle

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Working with RE, Gonal-F 150 IU CD 3-8, trigger and TI, IUI two days later, progesterone.  Plus all the usual - CoQ10, Omega 3s, Vit D, Vit C, Vit E, prenatals (with this and my asthma meds, I feel about 80 when I take my handful of pills every morning); no alcohol; no diet coke (had a sip the other day and it tasted gross!!); limited caffeine (need my one cup of coffee a day).  I'm toying with trying the Whole30 diet - more paleo with real food, no processed crap.  We'll see.  I can do anything for 30 days, right?  Oh, and don't forget my beloved acupuncture.  Where would I be without it?  Probably crying in the corner.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
CD 8, had an ultrasound this morning and I have two nice follies, so one more day of injects, trigger tomorrow, IUI on Sunday.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Hopeful and happy.  I really feel like this is out month.  There were so many reasons why getting pregnant before would have been poor timing so I think one of the next two months would be great.  :)

QOTW: Who is your celebrity crush?
Bradley Cooper.  Yum.  And I thought he was amazing in American Sniper.

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
@kindershlitz, @teenie16 - what's the timeline / plan for next cycle?  Am I really far ahead of my IUI buddies?  @austrogermokee - Clomid made me rage-y!  Hang in there.  @suziq1978 - would your hubby be okay with you getting a HSG and some lab work done so you know what you're dealing with?  ** child mentioned ** My first pregnancy occurred the cycle I had my HSG.  Even if you don't have any blockage, it could "clean you out."  And, would your hubby's preference change if he knew there was something "wrong" that could easily be dealt with by seeing a RE?  Just a few thoughts!!

And a shout-out to my friend C who has been praying for me with her prayer group every week.  She sends me random texts of encouragement throughout my cycle and I just love her.  I don't know what I would do without her.  She did IVF, but she never belittles what I'm going through - even when I was just doing medicated TI cycles.

    Me - 41 (PCOS), Hubby - 43 (healthy)
7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)

Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)

Oh and @austrogermokee - I'm so sorry your sister is being like that.  Sounds like a really poor coping mechanism to me.  Maybe she just doesn't know what to say, so she says the completely wrong thing.  Could you just tell her that it hurts you?  People just don't get it...

I've told my sister twice now that I don't want to hear about her friend, and I explained why. She never responds (we both hate the phone and stay in touch via email). I think I'm just going to keep her out of the loop from now on, which means I'm down to zero biological relatives I can count on.

I'm sorry @Austrogermokee. It's rough when you realize you can't depend on. Recently experienced that myself.
@suziq1978‌ as @emsmama15‌ mentioned about the HSG, the same was true for us.
Also @emsmama15‌ you are a little ahead of me but we can still be buddies ;)

QOTW: I also like Bradley Cooper. I also have a thing for David Beckham

@emsmama15 and @kindershlitz - I've asked him multiple times if I could go for a consult and he is adamant that we not do anything medical.  He has no issues with having another but he is completely fine with not having another.  So, he'll have the unprotected sex and let me chart and temp, but nothing past that.  He has given me until my birthday (middle of July) and if I'm not pregnant by then I have to schedule a tubal.

This makes him sound like a really harsh man, but he's not.  I think with him it's more of an age thing.  And he figures we already have 3 so if we have another fine, if not fine.

Hope that all makes sense.  My deadline is looming and I think that's why I'm so negative right now.

@suziq1978‌ I understand where he is coming from for sure. My DH is fine not having another also but he is willing to take some further steps. I understand your feelings too.

My OB scheduled my HSG, technically it's not an infertility treatment so maybe you could sneak it in? Not to encourage being sneaky! I had a second one done due to a csection because scar tissue can be an issue.

I'm sorry you are down about your deadline :( FX for you!

    3. Charting, OPK testing, drinking pre-conception tea, taking tons of vitamins and supplements, trying to exercise more.
    4. I'm waiting to O and since I have PCOS, it's always hard to know exactly when that will happen. I haven't been charting long but so far I've O'ed anywhere between cycle day 18-29. That's a huge window of waiting and hoping and waiting and hoping. Sigh. (I'm currently at cycle day 16)
    5. I'm very excited about this cycle since we recently discovered that I have low progesterone so I have some supplements to take but have to wait until after O-day. So I'm hopeful but also a bit nervous that my body won't O this month (which happens since I have PCOS).

FEELING SO IMPATIENT!! Just want my body to kick into gear here...

    1. Your Name or Screen Name 2pupsnokids (We have two dogs but no kids) NJ
    2. How long have you been TTC? 21 Months, ttc #1
    3. What are you doing this cycle? Unmedicated FET end of Feb/early March. I go to Cornell in NY.
    4. Where are you in your cycle? Day 14, waiting for LH surge and then 5 days from there FET. This is my first FET, but with my initial IVF I went in for a pregnancy test day 10 post transfer
    5. How do you feel about this cycle? At this point we're impatient and frustrated. I find myself exceedingly sensitive but my husband has been awesome throughout the whole process, so that's been pretty great. Now that the FET is coming up I'm pretty excited but very guarded after my chemical pregnancy. Last time, within an hour of the nurse calling to congratulate me about a positive blood test, we were talking names and baby furniture and staring at the embryo pic we were given when we transferred, and this time I think even if it works I don't want to talk about anything until we hear a heartbeat 12 weeks in. Probably not unlike a lot of women on here, I won't think it's even real until someone hands me a lanky, Irish screaming child:) (maybe not the Irish and lanky for everyone, but you know what I mean.)
QOTW: Who is your celebrity crush? My celeb crush would be a young Paul Newman or current Matt Bomer
My rant is how annoying I randoms are who remind me how old I am (like who forgets how old they are, it's not like the symbol for boron, yes, I'm aware I'm 36) or ask personal questions when really it wouldn't affect them if we had kids or not. Okay, rant done.
Good luck Emsmama15, Aus, SuziQ1978, Jill and Melissa!
Sorry about your sister Aus- some people just blow at this stuff. It's really disappointing, but that's why I tend to rely on this board when it comes to support and people who understand. If you've voiced it to her and her actions are not changing that's smart to change your expectations...let her change the particularly poopie diapers for sure.

Desperate. We're moving onto IVF next month. I can't take any days off of work for the next few weeks so we're waiting till next cycle. I'm not only concerned about the cost of IVF I'm also fearful that it won't work and it will be a complete waste of $20K+.

@Dwmmwd‌ that would be very frustrating chasing down an appointment.

@Teenie16‌ I really hope the IVF works out for you! We are meeting with the RE next week to decide between iui or ivf if this cycle fails. It's so very hard to get all the appointments in so to not have time off makes it that much more stressful :(
