Hello! 28w5d today - first week in 3rd tri! I've been feeling great the last few days, but it's been a bit hectic.
I was pretty sick over the weekend and the OB is concerned about my gall bladder - whether it's that I'm developing a stone or the baby is just pushing on it too much. Then DH went to the ER yesterday, worried he was having heart issues. After lots of testing (heart tests came back great), they decided it's gastrointestinal issues, primarily dealing with his gall bladder and heartburn. We were joking this morning that he must have the worst case of sympathy pains from this pregnancy ever! Now we are both on a strict diet. No more donuts, pancakes, or fast food. It's been hard to always eat healthy since I still get nauseous on and off, but we'll just have to be creative now when I have my food aversions.
On a brighter note, here's a pic we finally got of baby girl last week. Most of her other u/s pics were harder to make out, b/c she'd move around so much.
QOTW: When people first asked me about birth plans, I always though, "What do you mean? I'm getting drugs - isn't that simple enough?" Apparently this birth plan thing is a big deal. I got a sample form from my doctor that had a lot of questions to fill out. Aside from how you'd prefer to deliver, it has a lot of "what if" questions, asks to list your preference on things like how you want to stay hydrated during delivery, how many people can be in the room...there's lots to think about.
Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!! Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545 -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
I'm 7w5d. My u/s a week ago showed twins and I've had no sign of a change, so let's go with twins.
I *finally* heard back from my doctor about my u/s. The nurse mentioned there was a small SCH and that the u/s tech didn't measure it. I spent about 3 days trying to track down the u/s tech to the measurement added to the report. Turns out it was extremely small, only 18mm by 3mm. The doc had me go in for estradiol and progesterone labs today to decide if he'll send me in for one more u/s or give me a weaning schedule for PIO and estrace and release me to the OB. I was hoping for a u/s next week, but my RE is out of the office then and doesn't have pregnancy u/s done when he's out.
Next known appointments are 3/2 and 3/4 for OB intake stuff. Maybe *then* they'll give me an u/s so I can make sure my little tweeties are growing as they should.
IVF#1 (w/ICSI): BCP 9/9-9/23. Gonal-F, Ganirelix, Low-dose HCG (antagonist protocol). 41R/35M/32F... 2 transferred on 10/14, 14 frosties! On cabergoline to help avoid OHSS. BFN, possibly because of 90% drop in estrogen and progesterone a few days after ET.
FET#1: Transferring 2 on January 8. BFP! beta#1 (1/17): 408, beta#2 (1/20): 1310, first u/s scheduled 2/5
1st week in 2nd trimester. I had some bleeding last week and was put on bedrest and was only allowed to get up for bathroom breaks. The bleeding has stopped, and am on modified bedrest now. I was diagnosed with GD and now have to watch my diet really closely. We also found out that Baby B is a Boy and Baby A had its legs closed.
I have an appt with MFM next Friday and another follow-up with OB the following Thursday.
Hello! 12w2d. I'm hanging in there. I had a serious scare this past week when I woke up and was bleeding. I went into a full hysterical meltdown. My obgyn told me to come in for a scan and I did. All was perfect with our snowflake but the dr said I have a low lying placenta. I'm hoping that it corrects itself. The bleeding stopped shortly after I left the doctor. But geez did that scare the shit out of me.
QOTW: so since my ob said I have this low lying placenta now I guess that will have a lot to do with what we do for the birth plan. He said I had a 40% chance of c section before this so I'm guessing that just increased. I'm cool with whatever is best for our baby and am mentally preparing myself for that.

12w3d here with b/g twins. Pretty status quo right now. Boobs and belly continue to grow. Hungry all the time, but not eating enough according to my OB, so I'm enjoying all of the fatty deliciousness that I've been avoiding forever- extra mayo, milkshakes, cookies, mmmm...
QOTW - no birthplan here. I used to work on OB, and saw some doozies with some crazy-ass demands. We went through enough to conceive these babies-- I just want them out safely. I will request no residents though. I'm prepared for a C/S too, like @Justone13.

Our Story
Me- 35, mild hypothyroidism
DH- 29, low count due to a chromosomal abnormality, only option is IVF/ICSI with PGD.
Married 5/13
TTC since 8/13
IVF/ICSI #1 ER 9/14 - 14R, 6M, 6F, 5 blasts off to PGD- 1 normal female, 2 balanced males
FET 12/8 of 2 frosties - 1 male/1 female - stick babies stick!
News!!! At 37 weeks - went in for usual weekly bpp/nst test on Wed. During ultrasound, saw placenta for Baby A was deteriorating so Ob said we could do c section that evening. I was so excited since c section was originally planned for 38 weeks and I was feeling miserable from lack of sleep already. The epidural/spinal combo was PAINFUL. Procedure was ok, felt lots of pulling and tugging. Had heartburn during procedure which I didn't expect. Girls born at 9:06/9:08 pm, weighing 4 lbs 14 oz, 5 lbs, 5 oz. No NICU. Being released in morning. The girls have slept lots and been drinking the Similac bottles, the required amounts every 3 hrs. The nurse put abdominal binder on me, I've been walking a bit, it hurt at first but now I feel better. We were discharged this morning and are home now.
The first week was rough as he kept losing weight and wasn't nursing well, but our Pediatrician gave us the name of an amazing Lactation Consultant and little A is now on his way and finally starting to fill out - LOVE his little cheeks, belly and starts of rolls!!! At his last appt on Weds he was 4oz over his birth weight - had gained 9oz since the prior appt, so the ped. is no longer concerned - and we don't need to go back till his 1 month.
We are so in love with our little guy! And every day I marvel at how wonderful he is - and how lucky we are to have him. Here is his pic from the hospital (he had to go to NICU because I spiked a fever - though still got to have skin-to-skin time)
QOTW: I had about 5 or 6 items bulleted on a piece of paper as our preferences / birth plan. Things like prefer to try unmedicated (that did not happen as the contractions were horrific), no interventions or C-section unless necessary (did end up letting them break my water and give me pitocin at the very end), skin-to-skin (we got that), delayed cord clamping (didn't get since they had to check him out immediately - but they let DH cut the cord), no bottles/paci unless needed (wasn't an issue at the hospital). For us they were guidelines / preferences and we were flexible based on how things went.
