Sugar Cookies

Does anyone have tips for making perfect, delicious, soft sugar cookies? Better yet, a fail-proof recipe to share? Since it's Valentine's day this week, I am dreaming of perfectly soft sugar cookies, cut in the shape of hearts with decadent fluffy pink frosting. I know I could get some at a bakery, but in this dream they come from my kitchen. Help?

You're welcome. And btw I made these and they were great! I had to bake mine the full 8 min. I now need to work on a good frosting recipe.

Ugh I'm making both a peanut butter pie and a cookie cake for my husband today (because I can't just choose one) and now I want to make sugar cookies too!
