Hi Ladies,

We are having boy/girl twins and I really love the name Tess. I'm just concerned that it's not enough of a " full name" I do NOT like Tessa and I loath Theresa. What do you guys think? Boy will most likely be Julian.

I think Tess is fine! Personally I don't care for nicknames or names that are always shortened to something else, so I'd just go with the short name if that's what you like.

Edit to add: If you do want a bit more name, I've heard Tessia and Tesla

I think you heard Tesla as in the name of a car... I think Tess is fine. I agree any full length version is ugly. Tess alone is much better.

True. But I also had a classmate named Tesla (maybe spelled Tessla) all through elementary school.

Tess alone is a great name! All these possible derivatives are NMS.

Thanks Ladies, I think I am leaning to just having Tess, I also know a Tess and she is just Tess.. Which is why I loved the name from the start. I don't want to ruin a good name ( in my opinion) by making it longer when the short form is what I like.

I love Tess! Friend of a friend just named her daughter Tess & I think it's fine on it's own.
