Alcohol during first trimester ?

I had a night out with the fiancé ( which rarely happens due to hectic schedules) and got a little carried away. I never drink and had well more than I should have. Two days later I took a pregnancy test which was positive ( super excited). I am about five weeks going by last menstrual. I am so terrified that I could have done the baby harm. I have two children and didn't touch alcohol during either pregnancy even before knowing. Anyone else have this occur?

My Dr once explained to me that baby doesn't start sharing your blood until the placenta and umbilical cord are established (possibly around 6 weeks?).

Therefore, drinking early on is a non-issue.

It is fine. Many women drink before finding out that they are pregnant
