Reactions to Our New Pregnancy

We had our first son last year and at one month he passed away from SIDS. Everyone I have told about our 2nd pregnancy is acting worried for us and just plain not excited. Obviously my SO and I are over the moon. Is anyone else having an issue like this and how can I help to ease everyone's worries?

We lost our 4 day old son to SIDS in October 2013. We are also pregnant now with our second. I think I've felt more of the opposite. Everyone we've told has been super excited and sometimes it is overwhelming. I'm the one who is more fearful and like I said, get overwhelmed by other people's excitement.

I am so sorry for the loss of your son.

We lost our daughter to SIDS when she was almost 3 months old back in 2013. We are also currently pregnant again and pretty much have the same as GymSpaz26 with the reactions.

I am also sorry for your loss.

We lost our son when he was 5 weeks old, due to different circumstances.  We've actually felt the opposite reactions to our new baby on the way.  I would say don't feel the need to reassure anyone, if anything, they should be reassuring you!  Congratulations on your rainbow!

I'm guessing reactions might be different because it is less than a year since our son passed. Who knows. Thank you for all your support ladies! We can't wait to meet our rainbow
