I need opinions, stumped the doctor...

I got four BFPs between 1/17-19. I went to the doctor today to get it verified. She took a urine sample, ran a test, and it came back BFN. She couldn't explain why I was getting positive results and having symptoms. She asked me if I would like it to be ran again. I told her yes. Ten minutes later, she came back in and told me it was a BFP. The doctor told me that she hadn't seen something like this before. She drew blood, so just waiting on that call now.

Should I say that I am pregnant then, since she saw a positive?

Well, if your doctor is stumped ... I don't think we can do much better. It could be that your negative sample just happened to be too diluted to register and your next sample had enough HCG to run positive. Wait until the blood draw, that's more accurate. Sometimes ovarian tumors can release HCG - but don't go down that thinking path yet. Your doc is on it and will figure it out. And that BFN could've been a defective strip. False negatives are more common than false positives.

I would go by blood test results then. I suppose a doctor can also have a false negative just like anyone else.

She said at the most, I'd get my results in 5 days or so. It's been 24 hours, and I am getting anxious. She said she would call me asap. Hopefully, they come back sooner than 5 days.

I mean since you've had so many positive test I would say you're pregnant but maybe hold off on announcing until you get the tests. Good luck.

5 days? Mine were ready in less than 24 hours. Strange!
