No not on your husbands..I was sitting here drinking my coffee when I realized I cheat on my coffee intake. I don't condone overboard with ten red bulls or anything but if I have to stick with one cup of coffee in the morning no one will survive me...is there anything you ladies cheat at? I mean I can't be the only one who doesn't adhere to everything on the list right?
My OB said 2-3 glasses of caffeine is fine, days like today....I totally cheat!! But I make up for it by drinking a ton of water. I'm also bad about my sodium intake... Salty foods are so good!!
I cheat with the caffeine and diet soda. My OB said limited amounts of diet soda. I try to drink regular, but sometimes I just can't. I have a diet soda every other day or so...it's becoming closer to daily though.
I eat whatever I want, whenever I want, healthy or not. I don't do caffeine, only because I didn't really have caffeine pp, but I'll let myself eat a whole bag of chips if I want it! I definitely eat more sodium and sugar than I'm "supposed" to.
My husband is always getting on me about chocolate having caffeine but I say I don't do caffeine for the baby. I love chocolate, okay!? I'm gonna eat some! The baby likes it!
Otherwise, I'm bad about water, too. And sometimes I wake up on my back, but I can't help that, right? I'm such a cheater...
Pretty much the only things I worry about are medications. I haven't actually ventured out to sushi yet, but I am very seriously considering it. Everything else is fair game.
I'm about to enjoy a not-microwaved deli meat sandwich for lunch, in fact. And I might have a steak cooked medium rare for supper at a fabulous restaurant we're taking some out of town family to tonight (if I can stand to eat steak, meat is very hit or miss for me these days).
The other day at my appt it was super early and all I had was some coffee so when they said I needed more water I was like I usually do I had just woke up give me a break. Well she informed me the leading cause of preterm labor is dehydration. Wow. I've been chugging
I actually eat really well during the day when I'm at work. But when I get home I'm absolutely ravenous and eat the worst stuff!! Right now in Louisiana, King cake for Mardi Gras is where it's at. Also, cheeseburgers. Yummy.
Ive cheated on almost everything food wise... I eat lunch meat Ive had sushi (from a place i go regularly so I know its safe) and Ive cut back on coffee but still drink way more than the doctor would like. (I used to drink two to 3 pots a day down to less than 1 now)
I dont consider it as "cheating" since it is safe to consume 200mg of caffeine each day.
I wasn't doing any caffeine at all during first few weeks... it just wasn't life for me since I used to drink 2-3 starbucks + diet soda day... now I switch to half caf in the morning and a diet soda at lunch to get a bit of caffeine so I can function at work... but I always make sure I drink about 2-3quart (3L) of water and 2 glasses a milk a day to balance it out haha
about sleeping on the back.. I do that most night and I can't help it... My OB said it is OK as long as you feel comfortable and doesn't feel too much weight on the uterus... mmmm I wonder when that's gonna change.
I eat everything I want. Sushi, runny poached eggs, deli meat, cured meats, all my steaks and hamburgers are med rare, and even had a glass of prosecco on NYE.
@wormgerm I'm out of prenatals since I buy the chewable delicious ones SO eats them constantly. He always brings them to me so I never check the bottle. I laughed so hard I knew there was a catch!

Cold deli meat, runny eggs at home (I have chickens so I know exactly when they were laid & where they came from), steak I've at least been eating it medium instead of mooing, & a glass of wine or beer here or there. I really really want sushi but we don't live somewhere close enough to water where I feel comfortable ordering it. My moms an md & I was avoiding all kinds of stuff at first & she told me women have been having babies for 1000s of years & to chill out. I avoid coffee only because I can't control myself- if I have one cup I want 3 or more...

argh me too - I can't stand red meat now... I am slowly turning into a vegeterian...and all I want is Tofu.. poor DH hahaha
Unfortunately the baby does not like coffee right now, otherwise I'd be drinking my 2-3 cups a day like normal. I drank that amount throughout my pregnancy with DS and my Dr. was OK with is as long as I kept up my water intake. I am very much an "everything in moderation" type mindset (except alcohol and drugs).
Oh god, please let's not talk about alcohol right now. I'm a beer fanatic and not having one when we go out with friends or I'm just in the mood for beer is killing me!
No one has said it but i definitely have a glass of wine at least once a week. over the holidays I indulged twice a week. I married into a serious italian family. It's just what Sunday dinner calls for. I'm no where near being buzzed or drunk so i enjoy my slow delicious sips.
@Kiki119 I feel you on the red meat thing. Its either pork chicken or turkey for us now. My mom bought us a whole turkey and cut it up and everything but I have no idea how to cook those giant legs lol!

All of that is in moderation. I've had sushi twice and drove 30 min to the highest reputable place even though there's sushi in town (I may sound like a badass but I'm really a weeny)
At dinner the other night I had a glass of wine, and I don't know if it was a large pour or if I really have absolutely no tolerance anymore but I began to feel the effects and that immediately made me feel really weird. Every other glass I had previously I couldn't feel..who knows. I used to be a huge drinker (could throw back a bottle with little effect to me) l.
Hmm now I want a turkey sandwich.. Off I go!

I had a medium rare steak the week of Christmas, I doubt I get anywhere close to 200 mg of caffiene buuuut I don't really keep track. I don't have a lot of coffee cause just regular cups of coffee are an aversion of mine, but I can still do lattes and pop and you better believe I drink it. That's pretty much it but I have been craving deli meat lately so we'll probably add that to the list soon.

Cheater McCheaterson here. I've had quite a few cold deli sandwiches as well as soft cheeses. I only drink 1 cup of coffee a day, but cannot eat enough chocolate so I am probably go over the caffeine allotments most days. I also do a glass of red wine every 2 or 3 weeks. The only major no-no I haven't had yet is sushi, mainly cause that is the one thing my husband thinks I should stay away from. Though I travel to San Diego a lot for work and there is a sushi place I love near my office. Next time I go I may indulge. :-SS
Runny eggs and cold leftovers on occasion. I would love to cheat on coffee, but it's such a slippery slope. I worked very hard to get down to one cup a day from 4-6 cups a day. I know if I give in more than once every now and then, I'll be back to alternating coffee and water all day long. I'm jealous of all of your extra cups of coffee. Have one for me! (Just don't tell me )

Which means I have to eat the cups to get the upc codes to send in. It's a tough life.
