what time is your LO's last nap? I'm struggling with scheduling- if he gets up at 7 he typically will nap 3x but that stretch from 530-830 which is his last feeding is painful- I just don't know when it's time to stop trying to get a cat nap in there. He usually wails and fights it. I can't put him down for the night earlier due to feeding and poor eating and weight gain.
Our boys wake at 6am, then have about 3 naps, with the last one ending no later 6pm. The idea is to get them to bed by 7:30, give or take a 1/2 hour. Even with all of the naps, they're still fussy between their last feeding and bedtime. I think it's just their witching hour.
LO's last nap is no later than 5/5:30, which is normally a cat nap in the car coming home from work. She is normally in bed by 7, just lately she is super cranky and going to bed 6:15/6:30.
So in theory, if I had your schedule, I wouldn't have the last nap later then 7. But everything always looks good on paper, in life its a different story.
@elisetaylor09 yes, LO is down for the night. She might have an odd wake up before her normal wake up some nights. I just fix what she needs and back to bed she goes.
My LO's last nap is usually around 4. We then put her down at 7, but she always wakes up 30 minutes later because she thinks it's only a nap, so we have to rock her back to sleep.
DD is down for the night around 8/830. Every once in a while she wakes up 50 minutes in as if it was a nap but I bounce her for a minute and then she goes back to sleep for good. Since starting daycare last week her naps have been all over the place. I do try not to put her down for a nap any later than 630. That will throw off bedtime.
Our last big nap is from 3-430 and then try to keep her up until 7 when we start bath, then nurse, then bed. She might take a 45-60 min nap before depending how much she napped during the day. She sleeps from 8-7

@Jillashed, my LO goes down by 730 for the night. prior to leap four, he'd wake up once in the middle of the night to eat. during leap four, he is waking two or three times.
we still hold our habits so that he knows it is night time, not awake time. when he gets up after we put him down, we are in his darkened nursery, no stimulation beyond eating, very brief rocking after he is finished then right back down. repeat as necessary.
since you are dealing with low weight, do you still need to wake LO at certain intervals? if he is already up a lot due to leap four, would it hurt to try putting him down for the night earlier anyway and then feeding him as necessary through the night? i know PP mentioned dream feeding as something to try.
i think the difference in being down for the night, for us, is really just how we respond to him and his environment in terms of lighting / noise / interaction. i know that being consistent has definitely helped him learn the difference between night time and day time, so even if he wakes up a lot at first with the earlier bed time, he should come to learn that it is no longer a "nap" and is intended to be a longer sleep period.
good luck...
