What is your favorite lullaby?

Just for fun I was wondering what you ladies like to sing to your LOs.  Traditional lullabies or other.

My favorite is "Pooh Corner" by Kenny Loggins.  Its the only one that i really know.  Also its the only children's song I remember from when I was younger.

I have found that I do not know all the words to any one lullaby......I can start singing any of them.....but then get stuck!   I do better humming them to LO.   He doesn't seem to mind.   Sometimes I just make up my own words that go along to the tune of the song I am trying to sing.  lmao....I fail.

Amazing Grace, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Make You Feel My Love. Also Twinkle Twinkle and a goodnight song I made up lol. I too forget all the lullaby words, so I sing whatever is in my head (I'll admit that All About That Bass has come out more than once).

I really don't like any. I think it is from working as a daycare teacher for 5+ years!

The Itsy Bisty Spider is one of the most recent things.

When she's really screaming and I have trouble concentrating on lyrics, I sing The Song That Never Ends and Doe, A Deer, A Female Deer, because they loop around and I don't have to think.

There is a version of You Are My Sunshine by Elizabeth Mitchell that I love. Makes me cry every time. It is kind of folksy, I guess. I don't know if it's really a lullaby, but that is my favorite.

You are my sunshine and Baby Mine from dumbo. I played it a lot on my belly before she came out. It's one of my favorites. And amazing grace.

My favourite actual lullaby is the song from the movie _The Secret of NIMH_.

Baby actually likes old Smiths songs.

Tonight however she was singing the blues for a couple of hours. So I sang "Dangerous Mood" by Keb Mo. She passed right out! I might try that one again. Lol.

For those with toddlers, or just for future reference, we also do Toddler Radio on Pandora a lot at our house. My two year old loves it!

Anything Is Possible and Little Things by Cary Cooper (independent singer/songwriter who I've seen live a couple times - I have 2 of her CDs, she's awesome)
