DS1 has my blue eyes, and they were blue from birth. Though they lightened up a bit before he was a year old, I couldn't begin to tell you when that was. Maybe 6mo?
The amount of melanin in the iris begins to finalize around 9 months.
Also, in some cases it can take quite a while for all the eye color genes to be "triggered", which is one of the reasons you sometimes hear about a child's eyes changing when they are toddlers.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.

I love learning stuff from you. It makes me feel smart when I talk to my friends.
DS was born with blue eyes and so far they have stayed the same. Our families are almost exactly 50/50 split with blue and brown eyes.
DH was hoping he'd have blue eyes and they'd stay that way. DS looks a lot like me and I think poor DH is a little bummed about it and wants to see something of himself in DS. I keep reminding him that his looks will change as he gets older and I'm sure he will look more like both of us.

DH, who is an optometrist, says that babies' eyes don't change color after age 2. Most are pretty set by age 1.
Sunny was born with slate gray eyes and they've been brown now for about 5 weeks.
In genetics we were taught that there are certain genes that impact eye color that are sometimes "turned on" later. It's not by any means the norm, but it does happen.

DS1's eyes were blue until he was about 1.5, and they've turned green and now are hazel. I think they'll stay hazel but I suppose they might turn brown. It's like they change every day.
DS2's are the exact same light blue as DS1's were, so I expect they might do the same thing.
All 4 of mine were born with dark blue eyes. Emma's are now blue green, Beckett's are blue gray and Sawyer's are light blue. I'm excited to see how Lennon's turn out. And I have zero memory about when they started changing color.

Dd's eyes were brown from birth on. Ds1's were blue from birth on. Ds2 ' s are blue so far. He'll probably be my one that changes just to be different than the rest. Lol
I didn't vote (ftm) but so far DD's eyes are a gray blue at 3 months and though I'm noy getting my hopes up I hope they stick. She had a darker deeper blue when she was born and we assumed they would change to hazel like DH and I or brown but right now they look just like my dad's eyes. He passed away almost 6 years ago and seeing his eyes on my child has been really special for me.

Edited, because spelling.
We are in a similar boat! Everyone has been saying S is my mini-me - but he has DH's bright blue eyes. I hope he keeps them, because I love Dh's eyes! I know in times he will evolve to look more like DH, or just less like me, but I hope he keeps his eyes.
I was in a store a couple weeks ago and someone stopped me to compliment S's eyes - and then said, "I bet he got them from his mom!" ... Nope - hazel eyes here. Sometimes they look like shit brown.

DD's eyes look like they're going to stay in the blue family. All they've done is progressively get lighter. I have blue eyes and DH's are brown. I think he's disappointed they haven't changed. He thinks she's all mine at the moment.

Yup, both my older two changed around 18 months from very blue to very green.
I was trying to remember this last week. I just cant remember with DS. I just remember the dark slivers of color slowly appearing more and more.
I have brown eyes, hubby has hazel. Our fathers and siblings all have blue. DD eyes seem like they may stay blue, the color closest to the pupil is lighter than the outside.
My first daughter was born with brown eyes and still has them though they are a different shade of brown.
My second daughter was born with blue eyes BUT DH and I are both brown. Both grandmothers are blue eyed though. I keep wondering if she will keep the blue.
DD was born with brown eyes so dark they were almost black, they never changed. DS was born with dark blue eyes but I think they're starting to turn.. It was too much to hope for blue eyes like mine, genetics are against me on this one
DD had blue eyes at birth and they gradualy changed to gray-blue-green but I couldn't tell you when as it was so gradual. I would say at least after 18 months.
DS is going to have brown eyes I'm sure. They are completely different than DD's were.
Both kids have brown eyes. DS had them from the get go but they had a grey tint that went away at some point. Can't remember when but I'm thinking around 3 months old. DD has the grey tint too and I'm guessing it'll be the same.

My kids have my DH's eyes so they're all blue. But I had blue eyes until I was almost 3 (confirmed via family photos) and then they changed to hazel. My sister still has blue eyes though.
@erawka my DD is my husband's mini me as well. I told him that I wouldn't even think she was mine if I didn't remember pushing her out. My DH has beautiful blue eyes and long lashes. So far, DD has both so I'm hoping she keeps these traits but maybe changes some other things to look like me
DH has green eyes, I have Hazel, DD has beautiful blue eyes. Every time someone comments on them and then looks at both of us, we get a funny look. DS's are still almost navy blue, part of me hopes they stay that color but I also wouldn't mind if they changed color.
LO had greenish hazel gray eyes but the last week they are turning more hazel brown. I have brown eyes HD has chameleon hazel, blue, green eyes depending on what he's wearing.
Re: STMs- When did your LO's eye color change?
