I've always had very thick hair and when I got pregnant I didn't notice a difference in the thickness even though I was taking prenatal vitamins. Now my baby is three months old and I'm noticing my hair is falling out like crazy. Has this happened to anyone else?
Omg yes!! It's driving me insane. I normally have thin, fine hair but during pregnancy my hair was awesome. Now it seems like it's going to be worse than before. So sad!
With DS #1 it fell out between 3 and 6 months and looked pretty bad while it was growing back in- tons of little fly aways around my face. DS #2 is 3 months old and it's happening again.
DH and I are Americans living an adventure in Kenya since 2011

I am also experiencing nice wads of hair coming out when I wash and dry it! Started at about 3-3.5 months. Totally normal and just from the stress of birth on your body. Temporary and reversible.
Yes! My hair got so much thicker and longer than ever during pregnancy and I loved it. Then at about 3 months, the shower drain started filling up. Two weeks of that and I got quite a bit cut off to make it look thicker. But it's still coming out.
I actually had hair loss before pregnancy which I once thought was genetic but now I don't know. I too was spoiled with thick hair that did not shed one bit during pregnancy so this is why I am questioning genetic loss or loss related to medications. Now I am afraid I will be near bald because of how much I shed
