SUCCESS story after initial low fetal heart rate

Hi all!

I had an ultrasound about a week ago (measuring 6 weeks 6 days) and the heart rate was measured at 85 bpm.  Of course I panicked and googled endlessly for the next week.  I would find very few positive outcomes to this, so I was pessimistic at my follow-up ultrasound at 8 weeks.  BUT yesterday we went in and I was measuring 8 weeks 2 days (exactly a week later) and the heart rate was up to 168 bpm! 

No idea what happened or why, but I'm praying that everything continues as normal!

I had a low fetal heart rate at my 6 week scan. But I was told not to worry, the heart could have just started and the rate will build up over the next few days. Which it did, my next scan was 170.

I am so happy to hear this as when I went in at what was supposed to be 6w6d there was a heartbeat of 97 but was also measuring small. I go back this coming week to assess changes.

I am new to the boards, so please let me know.  

I thought it would be nice to share a positive story since there were so many negatives ones while I waited.  Also I wanted to point out I've been trying for 2 years with NO bfp so this is a huge blessing, but very nerve-wracking!

Also, if it helps I noticed a big difference in size in just 6 days.. maybe it was a growth spurt??

Oh, I am also new and did not realize it was not a Politically correct term.

Perhaps next time you could tell the person? Is there a phrase/acronym board on here?
