Shit, shit. Who has had a fever recently? What did your OB/midwife want you to do?
We think BIL had influenza while he was here. I thought we escaped, but Owen just woke up with a fever or 101.7 and mine is 101.3.
I've taken Tylenol, anything else I should be doing? I'll call my midwife in the morning, but I am seriously stressed. This is not helping my PgAL and preemie mom brain.
Oh no! Tylenol and lots if fluids and rest is probably the right thing to do until you talk to doc. Haven't had a fever but do have a cold that turned into bronchitis. Every time I violently cough I feel like my water is going to break! (Pgal brain... Check.) Sorry I don't have much to add. Just hoping you feel better soon.
I had one a few weeks ago. I *think* she said if it hits 102° to call or stays elevated for 48 hours on Tylenol then to call back. Lots of fluids and rest until you talk to your midwife. ((Hugs))

Me! Influenza here... On day 4 of fever, chills, body aches, and coughing so hard I vomit. Call your OB for a Tamiflu Rx. Take Tylenol around the clock. And stay hydrated. Do you have someone to help with Owen? My only blessing is that this hit while home for Christmas so my mom and dad are caring for DS. I haven't gotten out of bed since Saturday,
You'll be just fine, just take in lots of fluids. I had a temp and didn't take anything for it and my sister had a 103.5 temp when she was 6 months pregnant. Both mom and baby are just fine. It's when you feel completely miserable that you should call your doc or go in.
I did yesterday but it stayed below 101 so I didn't have to go in. Be prepared to sweat through your clothes and sheets when the fever breaks. I woke up soaking wet twice last night.
The nurse at my ob said: Tylenol as directed, water, juice and a bland diet.
I got flu and pneumonia at 6 months pregnant with fever of 103.5. I ended up in the hospital due to symptoms and I was worried about rapid rise of the fever. They gave me antibiotics and Tylenol. Hospital and my OB said not to worry, baby would be just fine.
@MrsLaurenandDan, I'm relieved you sought medical care and started Tamiflu. My fever broke today after 24 hours on Tamiflu. I hope you are able to rest and take care of yourself and both your little ones.
Re: Crap. Who has had a fever in pregnancy?
Sending you and Owen some positive thoughts that the fevers go down quickly!
