TTC after 35

trying to conceive-first post

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 2 years now. We took all the infertility tests that my doctor stated was needed. My tests all came back normal, my husbands numbers were just a little low. My doctor said she wasn't concerned however. I start my first dose of clomid tomorrow. Nervous and excited all at the same time. Any advice?

Re: trying to conceive-first post

  • Welcome and good luck. After 2 years I would definitely consider seeing a RE sooner than later. What tests have you had done? Make sure your doctor monitors you while taking Clomid.

  • Hi and welcome. I second what kindershiltz said about seeing an RE and making sure you're monitored on Clomid. Did your regular OB prescribe that?

    Oh, and good luck!
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

Off Mirena Nov 2013, On Nuvaring end of Jan, Back off Sept 2014.  Never ending cycle starting end of Sept...
    11/14 Provera failed... cycle continues
12/14 High FSH (57 "midcycle")  OBGYN had no clue... about anything
01/15 More lab results coming back from RE. U/S showed small (1")cyst on left ovary, thin lining, and couldn't locate right ovary so  possibly straight to DE and IVF

Occassionally mess with the chart below to see "what if" and learn (not to make it pretty but because FF stays drunk with me).

  • Welcome.
This is my first cycle on Clomid. And I've read about the side effects too and that taking it at night can help alleviate some of them, you sleep through a lot of it. And the only thing I've noticed , so far, is I had a slight headache yesterday.
Good luck to you, I hope this is your cycle

  • Welcome to you. As @kindershlitz‌ mentioned, please request monitoring when on clomid. There are some potentially risky side effects.
