We will be going to our friends house. The kids will be with a sitter. We will be wearing our pjs...bonus for footie ones The husbands will be grilling filet mignon no matter how cold it is. We plan to have a nerf gun war and then drink until we can't feel feelings.
Sweatpants, homemade sushi, wine, spending the night reflecting and resolving. We're going to go through old photos and put together an uncensored photo book of L's first year so he can look at it when he's older and understand where his scars came from, and maybe do some talking about what we want to make happen in 2015.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Nothing. I might invite my friend over since she's one of those people that can just come over and I don't have to entertain her. We just hang out. She was there for 8 hours on Friday and even fell asleep on my couch and I don't care. Perks to having an old roommate be one of your besties.
We will be having a steak and crash dinner at home with plenty of wine and watching a movie with the kids....we've stopped going out, too much effort...
We're having 2 couple friends over for dinner and game night. I'm a horrible hostess and already secretly hoping they leave early. Like, 10pm. I just can't hang that late nowadays.
Costco has best deal on goat cheese. 2 big logs for $6.99 -- grocery store prices usually about $10 for one. They also have great party apps and dips if you are trying to keep things simple.
Sweet, thanks for the tip! Looks like a Costco trip is on tomorrow's agenda.
Newfie New Years!
We watch the count down on the Newfoundland tv station. Thanks to time zones they celebrate 1.5 hrs before us. In bed by 10:45pm!!! We are so cool!
It will be just like any other night here. I normally don't get too excited about New Years anyway, but considering I'm not supposed to drink and I'm still pretty tired most days, I'll be in bed by 10. :-B
I may treat myself and have a small glass of DH's wine though.
It'll just be DH, K, and I at home. Probably in bed by 10. To my parents' the next day for the Rose Bowl, and then packing for a weekend trip to the mountain with friends. We decided today we're leaving Keenan with my mom (we'll be gone Fri-Sun). We've done an overnight away before but not 2, I'm nervous! But it'll be our last grown-up weekend for a long time, so we need to take advantage of it.
I honestly have no idea. I've been invited to several places but I might just stay home. I don't feel like putting the effort into finding a dress, etc.
Excited about going to a real NYE party this year, hasn't happened in 4 years. My regular Nanny will be babysitting.
My mom's BFF is having a party, she plays base in a rock band, so picture a bunch of old hippies jamming out, it'll be fun. Anyway there will be live music and she lives on a lake, so probably fireworks to ring in the new year too. I'm hoping we can make it till midnight!
We'll be home continuing our pizza and Telemundo or Univision tradition (can't remember which ch. it is), except this time, instead of ordering Dominoes, we'll be making pizza w/the pizza stuff my parents got d.h.&I for X-mas (a dough kit, a cheesy tomato-y sauce for me and a super spicy tomato-y one for d.h., rolling pin, surface to roll the dough out on the to perfect size, and a pie plate).
I have to work during the day and as long as I can leave by 2-3, we are going to a friend's house. They have 2 kids our kids ages. We will get dinner and leave by 6-7, come home to put the kids in bed by 8, and then I am watching scandal.
First Night Boston! They have fireworks at 7pm for the littles. Then off to a friend's house for chili con carne until 9. Bedtime. Hopefully putting Feli to bed an hour later won't screw up her sleep too much.
@biggunsbo - I love your optimism. It's cute. . My parents got Keenan a Mariota jersey that's like a 4T for Christmas. It's adorably huge on him. He's totally wearing it Thursday
I'm actually really looking forward to the draft. DH is a Tennessee fan, so he's actually hoping Winston goes first and the Titans take Mariota. Wish we didn't have to wait until April to see that!
Hosting DH's family and a few of our neighbors. There will probably be around 20 people or so. I have an amazing recipe for bourbon glaze for the ham that I can't wait to use again. And I just poured a large amount of peach vodka into a container of gummy bears. We are ready. <:-P

I like this idea. How many gummy bears and how much vodka? How long does it need to mingle together?
@haddocky The gummy bears about filled a 2 cup container and I poured enough vodka in it to reach about 1/2 way. I would shake/stir the container every once in a while. I would say that within a couple of hours, the vodka was mostly absorbed. I then added a little peach schnapps because the vodka tasted pretty strong. I may have eaten an undisclosed amount. Hopefully I won't have to make another bunch tomorrow.

I'm going to hangout at a friend's as long as the roads aren't icy.
