I'm 13 weeks on Tuesday and I can feel kicks, a few have sent me into shock because they were so strong. This is my third and I didn't feel movement like this until around 17 weeks.
And weighs less than an ounce... hard to imagine how it could be kicking hard enough to send you into shock. Sounds like it is probably something else (gas pains?) you are confusing for movement.
I could fathom flutters at 13 weeks but not what you're describing. It's physically impossible for baby to kick that hard yet it's 2.9 inches at 13 weeks.
Dr on Sunday told me I'm prob feeling baby kicking because I was having constant weirdfeelings right wherwhere uterus is and he could see baby going crazy as I said it was happening but I don't buy it because I'm only just on 11 weeks and it did not at all feel like the baby flutters I got last time. I'm not in a rush anyway.
So I think my point was that the doc thought it was very possible and you're 2 weeks ahead so no reason not to get excited. And it might not be kicks, but my Dr pointed out the baby was throwing it's whole body around so mayyyyybe it's possible?
This is my second and I can already feel the butterflies. I wouldn't doubt it was baby since it's your third. You feel things earlier with each subsequent baby.

This is my third as well and I have definitely felt movement! My sister works at an OB and keeps telling me it's just gas, but like you said, when it's your third you can tell the difference between gas and baby! Like others said, it could be another part of the baby's body, but movement is exciting regardless of which part of the baby it is lol
As other posters said, no one is doubting you felt movement. It was your wording that you felt kicks strong enough to shock you. That part seems highly unlikely. As far as feeling some movement were all excited about that and congratulate you on feeling some, especially with experience in what to look for. Congratulations.
It is probably gas. After DS I swear I felt a baby kicking inside me, but there was obviously no baby. This time around I feel like there are kicks sometimes, but it is always when I need to fart.
I'm 12 weeks and feel flutters. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I'm enjoying that this is something no-one else but me (not DH) can feel yet. When I feel movement when laying still I feel my heartbeat increase. Could be my imagination...
I felt DD around 12-14 weeks last time. And this LO just 'kicked' (hahahahaha) in today. *sigh*. If this is anything like my last pregnancy this baby moves all the time.
It's my third I definitely can tell what's baby and what's not.
Maybe you should have used less hyperbolic language? Kicks so strong they "sent you into shock" from a mite nearly as small as a peach just does not seem probable, which is why so many people read this and thought, nope. I could see this going differently if you said you were shocked to feel any movement so soon, as you didn't feel this way with your first until 17 weeks, as opposed to the kicks being strong enough to send you into shock.
I'm 12 weeks today and at my appointment yesterday we could see baby flopping around like a wild thing. I still can't feel a thing.
This is it exactly. I read it as sent you into a shock physically, as opposed to simply being shocked to be able to feel some movement so early. Feeling some movement at 13w as a second or third time mom is totally believable... and very exciting! I didn't feel any with DD til 16 weeks so I'm excited to think I could feel it in a couple of weeks with this one!
I'm 12 weeks today, and this is my third as well. I swear I felt something tonight when I was watching tv. I had an odd little three pokes right above my pubic bone. I have no idea if it really was baby or gas, but I swear it felt like flutters. :x I thought, no way, it's way too early for that.. Maybe so, but it definitely did get me excited for when those first real ones happen!
Re: Baby moving?
I can't wait until we do feel kicking, though!
So I think my point was that the doc thought it was very possible and you're 2 weeks ahead so no reason not to get excited.
And it might not be kicks, but my Dr pointed out the baby was throwing it's whole body around so mayyyyybe it's possible?
Crazy baby on board!
