Today is already interesting. I woke up late after falling back asleep after temping.
Stopped for gas and coffee, guy in front of me was going to pay for mine, but I told him I would pay for someone else in his honor instead. I paid for the guy behind me. He called me beautiful.
Got to work and realized i leftmy laptop at home. ..which is an hour away. No spares. So I am waiting for my direct reports to get in so I can say merry Christmas and leave. Lol
I was thinking though, the guy offering made me feel good, and the other guy calling me beautiful when he clearly was NOT hitting on me also warmed my heart. I like to pay for the person behind me too so that usually makes me feel good.
What warms your heart?

Off Mirena Nov 2013, On Nuvaring end of Jan, Back off Sept 2014. Never ending cycle starting end of Sept...
11/14 Provera failed... cycle continues
12/14 High FSH (57 "midcycle") OBGYN had no clue... about anything
01/15 More lab results coming back from RE. U/S showed small (1")cyst on left ovary, thin lining, and couldn't locate right ovary so possibly straight to DE and IVF
Occassionally mess with the chart below to see "what if" and learn (not to make it pretty but because FF stays drunk with me).
I love the little gestures like when a "pay it forward" chain gets started at Starbucks or when I read about someone who paid for another person's meal when they overheard their difficult circumstances. I personally love "adopting" an angel from the Angel Tree to buy gifts for. It's good to remember that no matter where you are in your journey, you can still brighten someone's day.
BTW, I am stealing this topic to take to TCCAL. We're having a bit of a rough time over there.
TTCAL January Siggy Challenge: Animals in the Snow
Love hearing of good deeds to other's anytime but especially during this time of the year! Yesterday driving home from work, radio program full of callers telling their good deeds/or others done to them. Crying, with joyful tears, is a good thing!
I really dont do as many good deeds as I should. I gave a $20 giftcard to the church that the girl I sit for goes to preschool. They have a gift tree for the kids who won't get any presents and it always makes me sad to know that some kids won't have a merry Christmas. So I take a name and give a giftcard. I don't go out too often so I don't do the "pay for the person behind you". Little acts of kindness are a nice way to brighten someone else's day. I'm going to make it a point to do it more.
I have another after going out. Seeing young men (or anyone for that matter) hold the door for others, particularly the elderly.
And the lady who smiled when we grid locked our shopping carts. It's the holidays, I like when people are nice.

@vh2014, that sounds so nice and I am glad you experienced it.
@Davie813, I enjoy the pay it forward to an extent. There was a situation here at a starbucks where they had a record pay it forward. I hate that these people felt obligated to pay it forward because they didn't want to break the chain. I think the spontaneous ones are nice, I like the gas pay it forward. I have a hard time paying it forward at Starbucks because if you can afford a 5 dollar coffee, well...you can afford it. I have done it at McDonalds once or twice before. The last time the car in front of me had a disabled veteran sticker on his van so I did it to "thank him for his service".
Since I answered this already over on TTCAL I am so being lazy and copying/pasting :-\"
I agree with the elderly couples holding hands and being all lovey dovey as well.
So many things that warm my heart have already been said and I just want to say people being nice in general. Holding the door open for people and that person saying thank you, someone dropping their groceries and people helping pick them up, the pay it forward things I love too.
My pup and my kitty also. I can be having the worst day and when I get home their excitement just makes it all go away. Also when MH walks by me and gently puts his hand on my back or my arm as he goes by.
But mostly this:
"you know, as long as there is loving and kind people in my life, then things really aren't so bad."
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.
@nikolie93 sooo agree. I'll pay for the person behind me just because but never been part of a chain. Even this morning wasn't a chain. I don't know how I'd feel about that. I think the key is unexpected not I'm expected to pay for someone else's choices...
@meredithcarole glad you stole it and brought it elsewhere where it was needed... that makes me warm and fuzzy too.

Not sure if this fits exactly but any sort of rescue animal video warms my heart. I watch them and really really cry. And then I feel so good about the work that people are doing to save animals. I have always said that if I won the lottery I would open an animal rescue/sanctuary.
