Because I am apparently an old lady, my midwife recommended the Matern21 test. I called my insurance co to make sure it would be covered (I googled a bit and found a few things saying that it's still hit or miss as some insurance companies are still finding it too new/experimental). My insurance co, United Healthcare, was less than helpful and said it may be, it may not, they won't know until it's billed. Gee, thanks insurance! So, has anyone else looked into this? I would assume since I meet the age requirement it would be covered... but I don't like to assume anything when it comes to insurance. I saw a post on here that one of the labs was offering a discounted rate, but that was not for the Matern21 test which is specifically what my doctors office said they would be ordering.
