Lower back pain

OK, so probably for the last month or so (or probably since we've conceived) my lower back has been killing me. It's as if I over did it in the gym or something and did something to my back, but I haven't even been in the gym. It's not constant, but it is everyday. The only thing I can think of is because I'm pregnant now, but to me I think it's too early for something like that. Is it? Or has anyone else had this?

Re: Lower back pain

  • Have you been checked for a UTI? I just posted how I had NO symptoms of one but my Dr just called me to tell me I tested positive for one.  My back pain that I considered "normal symptoms" is the only thing bothering me!

  • Oh I get UTI's all the time and them come on strong, so I would know I have one. This couldn't be it. I'd be feeling it every time I pee. So this is a "normal" symptom though? I can't go to the doctors yet because the medical isn't active yet. So I'm really relying on books and all of you! Unless something really bad happens though.
  • That's what I thought too, until it stuck around for days and days.

Yah, I wouldnt rule it out, only because I also got frequent UTI's and even was on cranberry pills for a while with how often I got them, and I am telling you I have NO symptoms at all right now. Besides lower back pain.

GL to you I hope its not a UTI but once you go to your Dr, they will do a scan for it anyways.

  • Oh ok. Thank you. It's like the one thing that makes me feel pregnant though cause it in my center lower back right above my butt. So I hope it's not one. Cause if it is then it's spread to my kidneys and really hurt. I just hope my medical kicks in soon. Thanks again

If you have a UTI, you should go to the doctor whether you have medical or not. It is really not good if it goes to your kidneys and I wouldn't sit around and wait for it to do so.

  • I had it early on, too.  Your body releases a hormone (I forget which one) that relaxes your joints and softens things up...that's probably why you're feeling the pain.  Mine still comes and goes.  I felt like someone had a 10 lb weight sitting on the back of my hipbones earlier and now it's gone.
