She's finally here!!! Birth Announcement

hi everyone,
After waiting an extra week, Zoë Isabelle made a triumphant entrance at 4:17pm on Dec. 16. She weighs 7lb 10 and I have no idea how long she is because I didn't get to participate in her exam. Another fast labour but this time I feel awesome afterwards. Can't wait for DD to meet her, will post pics of the first of many battles between the little Diva and her new co-star. Until then, here's miss Zoë all snuggled up.

no pain relief and I definitely begged for it at the end. But by that time she was crowning. Luckily it was only a couple pushes and she was out. I am pretty excited that I will never have to give birth ever again...ever. Seriously halfway through labour I was scheduling vasectomy appointments.
So the brief story is, I went to my 41 week appointment at 11 am, where she informed me I was 3 maybe 4 cm. so I was really discouraged. I then had an ultrasound at 1pm and I had a contraction during the ultrasound but nothing major so I assumed it was cramping from the stretch and sweep earlier in the day. By 2 pm my contractions were 4 mins apart so we headed to the hospital and she was born at 4:17.
I said a lot of things and used a lot of swear words that I am not proud of. I may or may not have envisioned killing my Mw while she attempted unsuccessfully three times to break the water during contractions. There was rage.
