I'm looking for some delicious tea I can drink safely any suggestions? I'm usally a coffee drinker but lately I lost my love for coffee. Any suggestions can be helpful
I love the "Yellow & Blue" (lavender/chamomile) from Harney & Sons. And also just basic peppermint tea. I've only been drinking non-caffeinated herbal teas lately because I don't want to use my meager caffeine ration on tea- I still need my coffee every day to function.
Has anyone asked their OB if chamomille is ok? On my box of chamomille tea it specifically says not to consume while pregnant. My anise tea has the same warning. I'm not usually very wary of food warning with pregnancy, but I know nothing of if these herbs are actually bad.

I haven't asked my doctor, but I noticed when I was shopping for tea the other day that certain brands had that on every box. I think they're just trying to limit liability. I googled a bit about herbs and tea and did find some stuff about chamomile not being ok, but also a bunch of stuff that recommended it. I couldn't find any concrete evidence of anything harmful about it. One place suggested that pregnant women avoid taking any herbs for medicinal reasons but said that the concentration you find in tea is generally too weak to be of any concern. So, I'm still drinking chamomile- not every day, but maybe once a week- and I feel totally fine about it. YMMV.
I have been wondering about tea too- I love bengal spice but the main ingredient is chicory which I've read can cause bleeding in pregnancy, so I cut that out right away. Scary, because it doesn't say anywhere on the box not to drink while pregnant. I have been drinking one mug of earl grey as my caffeine allowance for the day. I'm going to ask my ob about herbal options tomorrow at my apt.
Married to DH since 2010, TTC since 2012

Unexplained IF, 3 rounds clomid= BFN, IUI+femara 2/14 = BFN, IVF 5/14 = BFP! MMC 7/14. FET 10/31/14= BFP!!! 2 gestational sacs, one baby with a heartbeat. Praying for our little bean sprout!
I love Tazo Zen- it's green tea with mint and lemongrass. If I want a decaf tea I'll do peppermint tea, sleepytime, sleepytime green tea, or I'll combine a decaf green tea bag with a peppermint one. I drink a lot of tea while pregnant. Lately, it's the only thing that can warm me up!
I'm a huge fan of Tazo Passion tea with hibiscus and various other ingredients for a tart and fragrant hot beverage. I also like Irish Breakfast tea. When I was pregnant with DD I was afraid to drink the Passion tea until a doctor told me it was fine. Now I enjoy a cup a couple nights a week, it's my happy place and helps keep me hydrated.
Lately been loving earl grey with a shot of vanilla and 2 milks.
Also tried Nanaimo Bar tea and fell head over heels in love lol
Nanaimo Bar tea? sounds amazing. I'm assuming it can only be found in Canada (the land of the nanimo bar). Nanaimo bars are one of the things I miss most about moving to the US. do you have a brand name? I'll ask my family to send me some.
My favorite tea is a loose leaf tea from a local tea shop. It's called Snowflake tea and tastes like an Almond Joy. It's soo good and totally worth the caffeine.
Irish breakfast tea is one of my favorites along with peppermint and ginger LOL.... I also love the lavender/lemon grass tea LOL I'm a HUGE hot tea drinker

My OB actually recommended chamomile tea when i was having sleeping troubles in my third trimester back in May/June so its pretty recent lol.
Also favorite tea at the moment is called "caramel apple delight", it tastes as delicious as it sounds.
Raspberry. My acupuncturist, who also practices herbal medicine recommended Raspberry tea as it has nutriting properties for your uterus. Just make sure it is only fruit, and NO raspberry leaves tea. The leaves have a counterintuitive property and can contribute to a premature labor/ miscarriage. I also drink chamomile tea, and always add some lemon or lemon juice to either, as well as raspberry syrup. Delicioso!!!

Regular old green tea! My OB told me that most teas are fine but to specifically not drink chamomile. I dunno. There seem to be some unknowns about the impacts of some herbs so I just stick w plain green, tasty and less caffeine. Still delish!

I also think most warnings on tea are because pregnant women should avoid most herbs in medicinal doses. But most teas, especially those sold at the grocery store, don't have anything close to medicinal doses.
I love fruity, loose leaf teas from Teavana. My BFF just got me a water/tea infusion pitcher for my birthday last week; I can't wait to brew some fruity teas in it!
I'm only drinking rooibos tea right now. It is naturally caffeine-free, so even though I drink a lot of it, I don't have to worry about my caffeine intake.
I asked my doctor about tea because I am a huge tea drinker. She told me it was fine but to specifically avoid chamomile and drink peppermint only in moderation. She told me to stick to black or green tea and avoid herbal. I think it varies from doctor to doctor.
