Fertility Friend

I'm back at tracking my bbt etc. LO is 7.5 months and I have not had my first ppp yet.

I was sick for a few days and my temperature was higher than my normal but not abnormal. So FF thinks I ovulated...

Should I discard all of the temps I took while sick to clear the crosshairs? Assuming I don't get my first ppp soon?

Also is there a way to encourage a return to fertility without weaning?

Re: Fertility Friend

  • You may have ovulated if your temp rose. You can still ovulate even without a period. Happens to me almost every month and always has (I have a very wacky cycle!). I would keep the temps and add a note and just keep tracking your cycles. The more data you enter the more FF can better predict future cycles so I never really tossed data. You can also pick up some ovulation tests too to help track to confirm if your temp spike is in fact O.

As for encouraging fertility without weaving I'm not sure there's anything that can be done. Our bodies get back on track when they do. I EBF and started ovulating a few months ago, first PPP was last month and DS will be 8 months next week.

  • Yeah, I think returning ovulation is very individual.  My friend and I EBFed and she didn't ovulate again for over a year, while I started back when DS was seven months.  I agree with PP, keep the data and make a note.  Good luck!

  • Thanks!

I guess I'll leave it. I had 5 elevated temps and now I'm back to my normal. This darn cold is slowly going away...

I suppose I should let my body just do its own thing... I don't want to be selfish and wean before LO is ready.

Maybe moving her to her crib in her own room and out of my bed may help. LO nurses to sleep and we bed share...
