On 12/6, at 4am, my water started to break. I must have been in denial, as I got up, changed, placed a pad on to monitor what was happening, and went back to bed, thinking I was possible I had peed myself. At 6:30am, same thing happened again, so I woke up my husband and asked him if he thought I should go to work or call my ob. I had planned to work until today, then start my leave. I was scheduled to have a c-section 12/17, due to a breech baby and giving him more time to turn (and probably due to scheduling too late, so that was the earliest opening). My ob called back around 8am, said to shower, pack a bag and meet her at the hospital. Lucky for me, she was on call this weekend. 

We got to the hospital at 10:30am...like I said, I must have been in denial about being in labor, so took my sweet time...and the nurse who checked us in seemed skeptical my water had broken, said I seemed too dry and examined my underwear and pad that I threw out because they were saturated. At 11:30m, a gush of fluid came out and she said,"Well, if it didn't break before, it has now! Let's have a baby today!" At that point, I was having contractions. I then had an u/s and internal, and was told baby was still breeched and I was 2cm dilated.

Because I was on blood thinners, and had taken Heparin 11pm the night before, we had to wait and reverse it, so there was no rush in getting to operating room, besides, I was comfortable at that point. I didn't have my laptop and my phone was not cooperating so I couldn't check in and bump as much as I wanted to!

Finally, at 4:15pm, they rolled me into the OR, I was able to have a spinal, so H was able to be there, and our precious little rainbow was born not even 15 minutes later. He came out squeaking and purple, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! He weighed 6lbs, 4oz and is 21" long! No wonder he couldn't turn around! He scored a 9.9 on the apgar. We've had some issues with nursing, so have had to supplement with formula, but I'm not giving up yet! 

To my wonderful AL ladies...thank you for being such an amazing community. I have learned so much from you guys over the past two years. I may not have been posting much lately, but I am here several times a day and feel I know so many of you. I wish nothing but the best for all of you!

    DX: FVL, endo, hypothyroidism, blocked left tube

    Oct. 2014: First treatment cycle: Clomid+trigger+IUI=BFN

    November 2014: Clomid+trigger+IUI again=BFP!

    BFP 11/28/14 MC discovered 1/14/15

If you are still having issues after you go home, an in-home lactation consult was the best money ever spent and some insurance companies cover it. Feel free to PM me. Congrats again!

    Thanks! MH's boss' wife is a lactation consultant and had offered to help, but so far we haven't connected. I am hoping once home, we can set something up. There is one night nurse who is awesome and helpful. The rest seem like,"Here's your baby. Give it a try, then call me for formula." Very frustrating. Luckily the awesome nurse has been helping me even though she isn't assigned to me and we had two successful sessions tonight! I just want to do best by my baby, and will be as patient as I need be!

    TTC since 4/28/07
    Diagnosed w/ endometriosis 12/2010 Laproscopic surgery & 6 months of Lupron
    BFP 12/17/2011,EDD 8/23/12,ectopic discovered 12/29/11 at 6 weeks recieved methotrexate
    Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.

    June '13 Decided to go the adoption route!
