Conjestion and sore throat.

I am 16 weeks and two days into my pregnancy with my first child.

First I was feeling very Conjested and was having sinus headaches and then out of no where I also picked up a sore throat! Is this all part of the symptoms of pregnancy or am I coming up with something!

Not a symptom of pregnancy. Have you never had sinus problems with post nasal drip that causes a sore throat? My son gets this all the time.

My doctor warned me when I had my first appointment that pregnancy lowers your immune system. You are more prone to being sick. Also, pregnancy hormones open up your sinuses, and so you will be more snotty/ congested. That is why many people get sinus infections, I believe.

Sounds like the cold that I have that keeps getting worse. Drink lots of fluids and get some rest.

Sounds like a cold. I woke up today with a horrible sore throat!!

I'm on round 2 of congestion crap in the past 3 weeks. I was going to talk to my midwife about it, but then felt great. 3 days later, I'm getting all the crap back. I may have to schedule something in case this is an infection. Seems weird to get over it and have it come right back.
