I'm 17+ wks now and have not experienced any weight gain (yet). And by not any I really mean zero, zilch, none, nada... Anyone else having this too? Or is it too early to notice any weight gain?
I was just told on Monday that I haven't gained enough weight because I had no morning sickness. In the last two days I am up two pounds. (19w tomorrow) My guess would be you'll start gaining soon.
I didn't start gaining with DD until second trimester, and ended up gaining about 35 lbs. I'm 15+6 today, and initially lost 6 lbs but gained back 3 in the last month or so. Still in the negative from where I started, but I was overweight to begin with so I've heard that's normal. I'm sure the weight gain is on it's way, but I know others that don't gain much at all. My cousin has had three kids and with each she has only gained 8-10 pounds, pretty much the weight of the baby. Not sure how that's possible, but her kids are all very healthy.

I have actually lost weight. Both with this pregnancy and with DS I lost weight. It wasn't a concern of mine or my Dr's because I eventually gained the appropriate amount of weight!
Typically I'll lose weight in the first and early second trimesters and then start to gain it back after around 20 weeks. In two of my pregnancies I actually weighed less when I gave birth than when I got pregnant. It was never an issue since I seem to have big babies - all over 8 pounds and born between 2 and 3 weeks early.

I just had my 16 week appointment and have actually lost a pound from my starting weight. I was concerned and asked my doctor and she said not to worry at all and that she would be more concerned if I was gaining too much weight. She said the baby will take everything they need from you regardless.
I gain a lot in the beginning, and barely any in the end. Depending on your body type, it can take months to gain anything. I know a few people like you, and they gained nothing until 25 weeks then BAM....gained 30-40lbs. just like that.
I'm 17 weeks as of yesterday and have lost 10+ lbs. 3 lbs away from my pre DS weight. Sadly it's all gonna come back soon, if I ever get my appetite back.
I am 18 weeks and am still -4 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I haven't been throwing up since week 11, so that's not why, but my dr isn't worried at all. My baby is in the 80th percentile and healthy, and I've been thin my whole life. So apparently if you eat healthily you don't necessarily start gaining weight this soon.
At my 18 week appointment last Saturday we found out that I have finally gained 1 pound. From what I hear you don't start really gaining until later on.
I will be 18wks on Saturday and have yet to gain a lb. I asked at my 16 wk appt about it, and my midwife wasn't concerned. She said that if I had weighed like 99 lbs and haven't gained weight she might discuss it with me but said it was fine to not gain. Less to lose after the baby comes!
I discussed weight gain with my doc at my appointment. She said that at 19-20 weeks the baby only weighs about 10 ounces so it's OK to not gain much weight because the baby is still so small. She said most women only need to gain 1-2 lbs by 20 weeks and the rest is just fat/bloating.
I'm 17 weeks and down 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. My doctor isn't worried about it. I think you'd be fine unless you were underweight to start with.
Don't worry, 15.5 weeks here and I'm down 2.5 pounds from prepregnancy weight. I started out on the low side of 'normal' as far as bmi goes, but my MW isn't concerned because I have had severe morning sickness since about week 5/6. She said if I haven't started gaining by my next appt (I'll be 19.5 weeks then) then we'll have to look into it a little more.
I'm FTM and 17 w+4 with no weight gain either. I assume the weight will come eventually. I also feel a little lacking in the bump area compared to our M15 ladies. It's there, just not as noticeable yet.
Thanks for the support!! In my last pregnancy I gained about 24 lbs in total, but I just remember gaining weight earlier than this.. This pregnancy has been horrible in terms of morning sickness (all-the-freakin-time-sickniss), still I didn't loose any weight in the first 12 wks. So I thought I would have been gaining by now... Oh well, we'll see!
