I need some ideas for homemade gifts (preferably non-edible, and no sewing involved) for my in-laws for Christmas... so tell me all of you creative ladies, what are some of your homemade gifts this year?
We have all the supplies to make coasters out of maps. And I would love to use the stump in my cousins yard to make a tic-tac-toe board but I may have gotten ambitious on that one a little late. Last year I created a calendar on Shutterfly for MIL and she loved that. We have done ornaments in the past, homemade gifts get much easier when you have older kids
I help DS do paintings for the grandparents. Last year he did handprints in the shape of a Christmas tree and I put them in nice frames. They look pretty neat.
I canned a lot of salsa and relishes this year and will be giving those out as gifts along with some other baked goods.
I saw where you can make your own vanilla extract using whole vanilla beans and alcohol. The article showed a pic of it in a nice bottle and ribbon with gift tag and I fell in love. Good gift for a baker.
My future SIL did a winter potpourri last year with pine needles, orange peels, etc. Put it in a mason jar and it turned out very pretty.
I'm doing a quilt for my nephew but that's sewing...
You ladies are so creative! I love the ideas! I am thinking a picture of the ultrasound inside a clear ornament would be good! I go for my anatomy u/s on the 18th, so I could get new prints for it. I should say I also bought them matching mugs, and a smaller package of gourmet coffee, just feel like I need to add something else. I love hearing about the awesome gifts! Keep on sharing!
