Christmas gender reveal

We have our anatomy scan the 18th and are planning to reveal to family\friends on Christmas! I want to do the clear ornaments with pink\blue glitter or feathers for Christmas presents. Any other cute gift ideas for revealing the gender? I'm not very artistic

My only idea was to go buy onsies that said like Grandma's little princess / opposite for boy.

@mlbrooks619‌ I was thinking Michaels or Joan's or any craft stores might have clear glass ornaments and get blue or pink ribbon to tie at the top instead of metal hooks to hang on the tree!

I was thinking ornaments too.  Our scan is on the 23!  I was just looking for some more fun idea.

IDK if you have a Hobby Lobby near you but they have clear ornaments there. My mom actually just made some badass ornaments. The top opens up and then apparently you use pledge floor cleaner on the inside to coat it and pour the glitter right in there. She also did the same glass ornaments and put pieces of crayon on the inside and heated it up with a blow dryer. Both turned out awesome and could be used for a gender reveal!

Our anatomy scan is on the 23rd. Since it's only two more days to wait, we actually want to find out WITH the fam on Christmas.  So I'll ask the tech to write it on a card without telling us.

We are finding out the week of Christmas and one of our friends is going to do a cute little box for us and we will open it with the family on Christmas!

Mine is on the 16 th but I am not telling until Christmas. I found clear ornaments at target and I am making copies of the ultra sound on one side with a pic of my other two and Santa on the other and am filling them with pink or blue tissue paper.

Sounds like a cute idea! And just a reminder, you're finding out the sex of the baby, not the gender.

You guys our lucky!! My scan is on the 31st!!! I am thinking of doing a 3d/4d place because I can't wait and I really wanted to do holiday cards that say the gender

We have our scan on the 24th. I have a crafty friend that is making a boy and a girl "scratch off" reveal of each ahead of time. Depending upon the sex at the scan, I'm wrapping the correct card in a box, in a box, in a box, etc. to give my MIL on Christmas. She can hardly wait so we thought it would be fun to make her work for it.

My side will be in San Francisco this year so we will probably FaceTime them on Christmas Day with the news.

We are doing the same thing with ornaments for our parents, BUT for us we are doing something different! Our ultrasound is the 17th, we are gonna have the ultrasound tech put the result in an envelope and we are gonna go to the mall and pick out both a boy and girl outfit that we like. We will take them both to the store wrapping station and have them purchase and wrap the correct sex while we are elsewhere in the store. Then we will open the gift on Christmas morning! Of course we will have to find outfits that are close in price or just not look at the prices and we will have a friends help to purchase the ornaments so we don't find out early

My anatomy scan is also on the 18th & we plan to announce at Christmas. Can't wait! We are wrapping these little scratch tickets in presents to give to our family members on Christmas.

We are finding out on the 23rd.... afterwards we are going to get Santa pictures done with our DD and having her and Santa hold up a sign that says "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl".

Ooooo why didn't I think of ornaments?? And that's quick to put together, too. My scan is on the 22nd. I was going to just decorate a white picture frame with pink or blue and put the picture in there. Maybe I'll do both!

DH and I are going to make coordinating gingerbread boy or girl cookies to put in everyone's stockings on Christmas morning! We wanted to open an envelope with the sex as a present to each other, but we can't wait any longer!!

We are doing a present with a box filled with colored balloons. We have little kids in the family who love balloons, so they can play with them after.

I do have hobby lobby!! I'm getting way too excited about making ornaments now all your guy's ideas are so great!!

My husband has little nieces and nephews so we are doing the same thing for his side. This is a great idea.  We had our anatomy scan yesterday and the sex is in an envelope for a reveal that we're going to do with my family on Christmas morning.  Problem is, my husband doesn't trust store employees.  (We live in a college town with lots of turnover at service jobs, and it's weirdly like night and day between here and everywhere else, so I definitely get what he's saying.)  I might try to convince him to do something like this in my hometown where we will go for Christmas.  If not, we'll do the good-old-fashioned bakery item thing that we can bite into at Christmas brunch.

Were doing a dinner tonight with my parents and his parents and then we will cut a cake that will have pink or blue in the middle that a friend made.! No way I could wait until Christmas lol
A cute idea were doing that surprisingly my SO came up with, we got ribbon that says baby on it from the dollar store and were going to hang up all our ultrasound pictures with clothes pins on the wall near where we'll eat.

I'm doing the same thing! My scan is the 17th so I'm giving both ornaments and the results to a trustworthy friend to wrap the appropriate ornament, then we'll open on Christmas Eve. So excited!

I love the ornament idea! We find out on 12/22 so we are telling my parents on Christmas Day. Since I'm kind of a prankster, I was going to wrap a huge box filled with pink or blue balloons for my parents to open. Only problem is then we have to wait until we see my hubby's parents in Ohio on the 28th. We haven't decided yet what to do for them, but I think the ornament idea would be very cute. Hardest thing will be keeping quiet (and keeping my mother quiet) for 3 more days until we see his parents.

We are finding out the morning of the 24th and revealing to family on Christmas. We've told our families we are not finding out until the week after Christmas so it will be a bigger surprise. I got a set of girl and a set of boy Christmas pajamas and I will just return whichever we don't need. I bought in size 6-12 months so the baby can actually wear them next year. We will wrap them up in a festive box and have our parents open in front of our extended family.

We are planning on asking the US tech to write down the gender for us and placing it in an envelope so that we can open it on Christmas morning.

We have our scan on the 24th as well. Instead of doing gifts we are going to take a picture of our dogs in front of our tree with a sign that says, "We promise to protect our new little_______". Then post it on FB. Maybe I will get some prints made... Hmmmmm

I've made the ornaments before using mop n glow..seriously so easy!! And they come out looking store bought. We're team green but that's probably what I would do if we weren't.

We already know the sex but for Christmas I am going to wrap up an "it's a girl" balloon for my family to open.

Me and my hubby are going to our anatomy scan this Wednesday and I just can't bring myself to wait till Christmas to find out do we are having them put the gender in an envelope and then going to the mall and buying a cute gift box and picking out two ornaments. Then we will take out daughter to ride the Merry go round while our friend opens our envelope and purcheses and places the correct ornament in our gift box. We will then go to dinner and those who are able to come will get to find out the gender with us. I'm thinking of revealing to everyone else at Christmas. It all depends if I'll be off of work in time to go visit everyone though.

My anatomy scan is on the 23rd and I don't want to find out until Christmas and neither does my husband. So, my mom is going with me and will be the only one who knows. She will decide how she will announce (she's wrapping something) in front of my immediate family (sisters and their families). I've hosted tons of gender reveals for friends and families and strangely didn't want to make mine such a huge ordeal like I did theirs lol

We're still a little bit in debate of how to do it, but there are lots of cute ideas on Pinterest if you're still looking!

We have our scan on 23rd - DH and I will ask our technician to write baby's sex down and put in an envelope. We will then go straight to the 'Build a bear' shop and pick out a boy and girl outfit (same $) and ask one of the staff to go into back room and to dress our bear in what the sex is. The bear will then be put in the box that comes with the bear (no openings) and we will wrap it up and open together on Christmas morning :-)

I find out tomorrow with DH, we have chosen an earlier private scan. Our actual a/s scan is 22nd but we told everyone it is after Xmas due to lack of staff.
We agreed to keep it a secret until Xmas day we are putting our Xmas cards inside the hampers we make so no one can see it early.
Then we are just writing "lots of love from Jenny, Garry and baby girl/boy H*** xxx

Why didn't I think of telling our parents we weren't getting our a/s until after Christmas? We get to find out on the 18th as well and our moms are trying to weasel their way into the appointment (definately not happening). We're having a DIY Christmas with our combined families since their both pretty small and there's no kids. DH is making our moms coasters with scrabble tiles and putting "it's a ___" on it. I'm putting together wedding scrapbooks for them and the last few pages will be either pink or blue baby themed for them to add baby pictures. I thought about doing the ornaments too. There's a lot of really cute ones.
