i apologize if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer when using the search function. Our dc provider warmed up a bottle of breastmilk today but lo wouldn't take it. It might have sat out for a couple hours. Since he never drank out of the bottle, will it still be good? The thing is, he won't be getting a bottle until Monday so that is several days of sitting in the fridge. Of course I hate the thought of dumping it but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Or do you just recommend the sniff test come Monday? Thanks for any help in advance!
I Second @AmyG, it won't be good that long and I'd give at next feed and pump to replace. As frustrating as that is, at least you won't waste the milk. Do give it a sniff first.
If a bottle is warmed I would use it 1-2 hours later after sitting out, but not much longer than that and I would not put it back in the fridge for another time.
