Facebook Group?

Just curious...has anyone started a secret Facebook Group for our birth month?

Yeah, I have no clue why it's holding on to my daughter's info... I don't even have those 3 sig's in my profile anymore....  Fair enough... another app has already started a group so I was curious if people had here..

This is something I would consider, but not this soon. Everyone seems nice so far though.

Cool! I haven't started one.. I was just curious so I could keep it on my radar... and I would only join if it was secret anyways at this point.  I found it such tremendous resource and support with my last pregnancy and never came to the forums cause it was easier for me.

I wouldn't join one, but I know most BMBs seem to end up with one.

For those trying to change their signatures, click on the tiny person on the upper right of your screen and go into preferences there. I was having trouble too but I was trying to change it the old way. Back on topic, I'm interested in a Facebook group if anyone starts one.

Well I used a Facebook group last pregnancy and it was the greatest support system ever not to mention all the new friends I've made (yes we've met in person), we still all talk daily in our group so I for one don't think it's a bad idea.

I'd rather get and know everyone here first. For awhile.  I do belong to many FB groups and love them, but I typically know the people I'm with first.

I've been around here for a long time, plus I'm a moderator. I've seen a lot of shit go down. A lot of problems arise when you let a bunch of random people on the internet have access to your personal info before you know you can trust them. I am a part of some Facebook groups and have made a lot of real friends from this site, however I learned to wait. There are a lot of crazies on here and too many people learn the hard way, myself included.

I agree with PP's. I think it's something I would consider down the road (2nd or 3rd tri), once I'm comfortable that there are no crazies

I'd join a FB group, but I'd prefer it be private. DH and I are waiting to tell people. Only DD and my sister know. I'd appreciate all the support a group can provide. I do see what you ladies are saying about potential crazies, so maybe waiting a couple months is a good idea.

I'd be happy to get on the FB group eventually. Prob 2nd tri like others have said. But @redearo has a point, too. I appreciate what the board offers, and though I'm on FB constantly, it is its own monster. I'd hate to see good conversations moved solely to FB and loose out on voices of those who choose not to FB or who don't want to be in both places.

I have been apart of a FB group for my last pregnancy and it was a great! Whenever anyone starts one I will be joining!

I would join much later into our pregnancies. I have heard of some terrible stuff happening in Facebook groups and I am not ready to give access to my personal info.

I probably would not participate if the group moved to facebook.  I don't know you people (although you all seem nice) and am not ready to give up my alter ego.

I wouldn't join a fb group until I had dropped the news on my family and friends - sometimes groups can be seen by others.

This is true - I wouldn't want anybody to mess up privacy settings and out me to everybody.

I wouldn't mind at all joining a FB group as long as it's secret. We're not announcing for a while yet. If anyone makes one, let me know!!

I would LOVE to join a Facebook group now as long as it was secret. I'm in a Facebook group for everything (about 30 groups) and never had a problem so I'm personally comfortable with it.

I would totally join a FB group further down the road. I'm still part of my son's BMB on FB and love it.

I'm in an amazingly supportive FB group from my BMB with DD2, however we waited a bit longer to start the group and we still weeded out a bunch of crazies. We're down to a smaller group of awesome girls and we're very active & close. I'd be interested closer to late 2nd or 3rd tri.

I would also be interested in a fb group, but farther down the line as many have mentioned. All this talk of crazies has me a bit apprehensive to join a fb group yet.

No way this early. Trust me, nothing good would come from FB this early. Plus Im not comfortable letting strangers have access to my personal info.
