Never Have I Ever - Holiday Edition

I'm going to start with a Thanksgiving one, but it can be about any holiday.

Y'all get creative because I have a long road trip ahead of me and am in need of some entertainment!

  • Never have I ever sat on Santa's lap as an adult.

My mom and her neighbours host a Christmas in July every year. One of the old men dressed up as Santa and handed out gifts. My mom INSISTED I sit on his lap for a picture, is was super fucking awkward.
Haha oh nooo! So awkward. Hopefully it was awkward for him too... instead of the alternative.

  • @mamrotu73 I never put professions on MASH when I was a kid. I was playing it wrong all those years!

When you say dressed up do you mean in a costume like as a pilgrim or turkey or as in nice clothing?
  • Never ever have I celebrated Christmas alone

My plane broke in Turkey and we didn't get home until Christmas afternoon. I guess I spent the morning with my crew. But we weren't celebrating, just flying home.
I meant creepy cat lady style alone.

I did it. DH was deployed and I couldn't travel home, so I just hung out at my apt alone all day.

Me! The year I divorced. I had to work the day after because the stock market is open and my Mom lives out of town but in hindsight it was my first and last. I went to the beach B-)

Well, I've never done either one, but I meant nice clothing LOL. On TV  you always see families sitting around the Thanksgiving table in formal clothes, but our dinners are always come as you are and likely to be followed by a game of football or volleyball so slacks and skirts are definitely out.

You're right! I forgot about my 3 Cristmases I spent alone with my dogs while DH was deployed. I guess I forgot cause we live in Ca and it never got below 60F and I didn't celebrate it? How could I have forgotten?!
  • Never have I ever believed in Santa after age 6.
Never have I ever believed in Santa at all. My parents didn't believe in lying to us so we never did the Santa thing.
    This makes me sad.
Meh.  I have no conscious memories of believing in Santa - not because of my parents, but apparently I'm that kid who when I was three asked mom and dad why Santa used the same wrapping paper they did.  It was all over after that.

I don't feel like I missed out on the "magic of Christmas" or anything.
