If you have a doppler

Do you ever listen to your LO and wonder WTH they are doing in there?  I was just trying for a quick heartbeat tonight and chased him/her around for about 5 minutes. I ended up with about 5 seconds of heartbeat and 4 minutes of who knows what.  I'm not feeling movement yet (which I think is weird for 3rd baby at almost 16 weeks) and I can't help but hope that the baby was just trying to get away from the doppler because if this kid is always that active, it's going to be a looooong time until May.

  • Lol yeah I can always tell when my little guy is awake he is very active and like you I have to chase him around with my Doppler.

Well, I could be wrong, but I am almost 14 weeks pregnant (14 weeks already according to my doctor). It seems to me like the doppler is picking up my baby kicking the doppler. I will get the heartbeat then a thump. I have to move it a little bit to hear the heartbeat again then thump. It doesn't do it all of the time so I assume he or she is sleeping then.
