I feel like the odd man out here because I wash our towels every other week or so, maybe less frequently than that since we have clean back up towels on deck. I don't see the point in washing them frequently, plus we live in a severe drought area so I'm all about conserving water when possible.
DH was a single use towel guy until he met me. No way. Donezo.Every couple of days! No need for that extra laundry and you are clean after the shower!
I must say that is impressive! DH probably would only wash his once a year if left to him. That may be a stretch. He would probably throw it away and buy a new one before washing it. He just never thinks of things like that!
Helllll to the no I don't wash after use! This ain't the Ritz Carlton lol. I actually divvy out the towels. Big Ryan gets three for the week, I get three, little Ryan 3. Wash at the end and that's more than enough for me. You hang em or you lose em in this house.
I use 2 towels per shower, one for body one to wrap up my hair. And I wash them both once a week. SO uses a new towel for every damn shower, sometimes twice a day. We are definitely not on the same page. I keep trying to convince him to reuse, I bought a new towel rack, I hang his towel for him after his shower, doesn't make a bit of difference lol
I wash once a week. My son takes 2 showers a day, no way in hell I'm washing that much. I've even gone so far to only allow him 4 hot pink towels in his bathroom so he can keep up with them. It was his idea on the hot pink, our other towels are beige and he said they blended in his floor when he threw them down and now he can tell where he lays his towels. He's a messy child.
I wash 1-2 times a week, depending on how they smell after drying. I'm weird. Growing up though, my grandmother would have us share towels. She was raising six girls, and I'm sure she had enough laundry as is.

This is us too.
And please tell me everyone doesn't wash their jeans after every wear?? DH did this forever and it drove me crazy.

I only wash my jeans when they look dirty. Breaking them in sucks!
We definitely don't wash after every use. I may even venture to say that we fall into the category of switching towels once they start to get a smell. haha. I use two towels, one for my hair, and one for my body so there is NO WAY I could wash after every use. Yikes.
As for jeans? Only when they are dirty. That first wear after the dryer? No thanks.

About once a week here. We have a lot of towels and I have a separate hamper just for towels so that I don't have to wash them until that hamper gets full.

They had an episode once on Anderson Cooper and that girl Stacy on What not to Wear was on it. Obviously Anderson never washes his jeans so she actually had a pair looked at and their was so much bacteria on them.
I am a little crazy about germs but it still beats wearing clean blue jeans.
We wash towel load once a week. We have a lot of towels but I know we use them at least 3-4 times before washing.
As for jeans, I was every 2-3 wears depending on how they fit. They also hang to dry and only go in the dryer for the last 20 minutes of drying. My really nice jeans also go in the freezer after a wear...strange yes, but it helps get their shape back without washing and can help get rid of bacteria.

We use ours at least 2-3 times before washing. I would think washing them after every use would wear/thin them out. Towels are expensive and I hate doing laundry.

I dont necessarily use a new towel out of cleanliness. (That's what the shower is for) I just thought that's what your supposed do.
I plan to call my mother and ask wth on this lol
Maybe I can finally start tossing some of the thinner towels out!
