Another stroller question!

Hello! I also posted in Baby Gear but I figured Id ask you ladies too. Trying to be a more active poster. :) I've done some research, and I know I need to go to the store and see things in person, but I'd love some opinions too!

I won a Britax Affinity in a raffle recently, which is awesome. It comes with the B-safe car seat. However, I had my heart set on the Uppababy Vista. It seems that they're very similar. Downside of the Britax is that the car seat ONLY works on their strollers- no adapters, no snap n go.

Any experience/opinions? I'm debating keeping the Britax set or selling it and getting the Vista.

Re: Another stroller question!

  • While I don't have much experience with either stroller, all I can say is get the one you really want and the one you will be happiest with in the long run, especially if you are going to be using it a lot.

  • They definitely are pretty similar, it's just smaller things. I wanted a chicco car seat, mainly because my sister has it so we could use one base for our parents. I also like the new options for the UBV to become a double. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the B-safe only works on Britax strollers.
  • I love britax! And it should fit with any BOB stroller.
  • I know britax works with Baby Jogger strollers if you get an adaptor...

Hey, if you end up selling the B-Safe seat, let me know!

  • where were you able to find the vista on clearance?? i've been looking everywhere for a sale!
  • I've been having this same dilemma- without the Britax being free. They both seem so similar but the Uppababy has a slight up charge. I thought the Britax had the option for 2 or maybe that's just the little stand for a toddler to hop on. I think at the end of the day I was going to go with the Uppababy Vista. FYI they have big sales during Black Friday, and my sister got Buy Buy Baby to price match as well last year.
  • Thanks for the input! I think I'm going to try and sell the Britax as a whole set and take it from there. I'm in the NYC/LI area so if any local moms are interested let me know! That would be a beast to ship!
  • I didn't read other posts but I will say I know you can use Britax on a Bob stroller. There is an adapter for that. Mostly the bsafe series but a few others too I think.

  • Love the uppa baby vista too . They're not on sale at my buy buy baby yet but a store employee said they may be in next couple weeks as the new model is being released at the store ...
  • I'll chime in on Britax.  The B Safe seat has a few things to recommend it.  First it is one of the lower weight seats out there so if the baby ends up being smaller you will not need to buy a second seat.  If you deliver early or the baby is under the weight allowed for your seat they will require you to buy a seat and show it to the labor and delivery staff to be discharged.  The other advantages are the seat cover is machine washable (no not all brands are for some silly reason) and it has one of the larger height allowances.  Most babies outgrow their seat by length before weight and this seat has a larger allowance for both.  This does mean it is a longer car seat.  Britax is one of the brands most other brands make a car seat adaptor for.  The other great thing about Britax is they stand by their products.  They will replace a product for 2 years from manufacture date so if your stroller breaks they send you a new one and do not ask for proof of purchase.
