Chinese gender predictor

I have tried the CGP chart early on in my pregnancy, and everytime it suggests a girl. Today, I tried another chart and it suggest a boy! I know it's all fun but it's also disheartening! I guess I'll wait for anatomy sono. Has this happened to anyone else?

It was accurate with my second, it said boy and I had a boy!

Those are just for fun. You might not want to paint the nursery based on the results... But also, I believe you have to use your lunar age for it to be 'accurate'.

It was wrong with my boys too. This time I can't figure out what month to use...... conception or implantation. My age or the embryologist age because I didn't do anything he did.

The sex is determined before implantation. It depends on the sperm. I think the sperm is either an X or Y and the egg is an X. The baby gets 1 set of 23 chromosomes from the egg and the other set of 23 from the sperm that makes up the 46. Two of those happen to be the XY or XX that determines the sex.


ETA: I think it's the 23rd chromosome that's either XX or XY.

Gender chart was wrong for me. And pretty much everything else said girl too. We got our msterniti21 results and it's a boy

It told me a girl and I am having a boy. So don't get excited either way, because it can definitely be wrong

See...no scientist here. I did know that the XX=girl and XY=boy...but clueless on the rest. Interesting to know! Thanks, @pintobean39 !

I'm no scientist either, I'm an accountant but I live with 2 nerds. My husband is an MD and my 15yr old is just really smart so they try to educate me.

Last year when I received a copy of the karyotype from the first baby that I lost it had pictures of each chromosome and on the 18th one it had 3 lines which meant she had trisomy 18. Then on the 23rd it said XX, I starred at it for a while before it dawned on me that meant a girl. Of course my son made me feel stupid because you know he learned that YEARS ago.

Since then I have another karyotype from another girl that I lost and then I have mine and my husbands because we did genetic testing on us. We also did genetic testing of our embryos before they transferred them in me. So I have all these karyotypes in my fertility folder. I noticed the other day the pics of the chromosomes are all different on each karyotype so my know it all son pulled out his biology book and explained it all to me in detail. I just learned I'm actually looking a pictures of the actual chromosomes. They look different because no two are the same. The actual DNA is thrown in there somewhere to but I haven't had my lesson on that yet.

Anyway, that's prob way more info than you needed to know, but just passing along the knowledge I just learned.

I did the Chinese gender predictor on two different sites just for kicks. The first one said girl, the second said boy.
