Anybody know of any good deals going on for cribs for Black Friday/cyber Monday? I am interested in babyletto and oeuf. But looking to see what's out there!
Am I the only one who would rather chew off their own arms than go out on black friday?
Cyber monday ftw!!
The only time I've ever set foot in a retail establishment on Black Friday was the one godforsaken year after college when I worked at the Apple Store and I was on shift starting at 3am. I hate shopping (other than in bookstores). This year my fiancé is trying to convince me that we will score great baby stuff. I can't even.

No you are not alone. But there are lots who do enjoy it. The crowds don't bother them and they get their shopping out of the way early. I've always gone with my family. I would wake up early bundle up and go stand in line with my mom, sister and Grammy. It was fun. We got tons bought for great deals. And we got to spend the day together. We visited while waiting in line and it was a family tradition.
I don't know why but I'm so annoyed by the Black Friday hate. Yes it can be crazy but it's not the devil. If it's not your cup of tea fine, don't go. I've always enjoyed going. To each their own.

Black Friday shopping was a big thing my mom and I would do when I lived back in IL. We would always check out the ads on Thanksgiving and plot out our shopping. It was so much fun to get up early and be all bundled up chatting outside in line! We still go out if my family comes to visit for Thanksgiving although it's not quite the same because I can usually stand in line in shorts (I miss home because I'm a big fan of Christmas shopping in cold weather/snow). Now, my husband goes out with me. I don't know if we will buy anything for the baby this year. Depends on what is on sale and if it's something we were planning on buying in the first place.
I worked retail on many Black Fridays to make me never want to go shopping on that day and I never have. I understand the fun that people have and I think it's great if you are looking for a great deal and are enjoying spending time with your family or friends.
The people who stampede and go nuts if they don't get what they want is what I find disturbing. Also the fact that some stores are now opening on Thanksgiving makes me so angry. I feel horrible for the employees who have no choice.

I like Black Friday sales. My problem is every year them seem to be earlier and earlier! Seriously I think I saw some store is opening at 5p.m on THANKSGIVING DAY. Wtf....Let the workers spend that day with their family. Open up crazy early Friday morning, heck, even midnight sales would be okay.
I'd rather shop Black Friday than work it that's for sure
i've only shopped black friday once and it was fun because we were doing it pretty casually. Didn't have anything we NEEDED to get and stand in line for hours for. We went to starbucks shopped around and got some good deals and then went out for breakfast. i'd like to do it again this year with the same mentality
His first year of birth we lost our minds and went to toys r us after thanksgiving dinner. It was a zoo, we did get a bunch of stuff but in the end he couldn't have cared less and probably played with each toy a total of ten times. Except maybe two He actually liked lol
Don't go overboard with toys, if you're gonna do it spend it on gifts for others, yourself, or diapers.
