best baby registry?

Deciding where to set up a baby registry (is it too early?) and having a hard time deciding. 

Any pros or cons for any of the baby registries - babies r us, buybuy baby, amazon, etc.? I'm based in NYC if there are any location-specific registries that are great! Thanks in advance

Be sure to do one that offers you some percentage off on the products you weren't purchased after your shower. (i.e.: I know Target offers like 10% back on items not purchased)

Lurker from the June board:) but my due date is June 4. Diapers.com was my favorite for DS. I registered on Amazon but ended up later using Diapers.com all the time.

Everywhere that offers a discount. You don't have to tell people that you have "10" registries, just do it for the completion coupons. I liked Amazon out of all of them.

We did babies r us (there is no buy buy baby where I live). I also had one through amazon but made it private just for the discount and because some items were cheaper there. A lot of my friends have used target.

We'll do a number of them, but most things will probably be from Buy Buy Baby and Target.  Buy Buy Baby has so much stuff, it's crazy...but they don't have a ton of locations.

I just heard through the grapevine they are opening up a buybuy baby 2 miles from my house next year. I've never heard of one but I hear everyone talking about them so I'm a little excited.

I was in buy buy baby the other day and it smelled overpoweringly of baby powder. Like so bad my throat got all itchy and dry and I started to choke on it after just a couple minutes. Is that their 'thing,' like Abercrombie and Fitch pipes out their cologne? Or was there just a massive baby powder accident before I got there?

Also don't forget buy buy baby accepts bed bath and beyond coupons!! (Same ownership... And store is laid out the same way)!

DH and I want to register in the next few weeks - definitely before Christmas because we already have some relatives asking about what we need. We definitely plan on doing Target, and possibly Babies R Us.

BBB for sure. I love BBB. PB Kids is also awesome. You get the completion discount for a certain amount of time (I want to say 3 months, could be way off) after the date of your baby shower on anything in the store, whether it's on your registry or not. You just tell them, they add it to your registry at the counter, and bam! Discount. It's great for after you have baby and you're like, "oh shit, I need such and such" and you can get it there for a discount.

Buy Buy Baby is the BEST IMO. I did BRU because that's in our area but we got a lot of stuff at BBB.

Amazon. I am not a huge fan of any of the chain baby stores. But I can find alllll the things on Amazon.

I like Target.

Simple, they have everything and are usually hassle free when it comes to returning/trading stuff out.

We will probably do Target and Babies R Us. We have a Buy Buy Baby where we live but all of our family and friends do not have one near them so we probably wouldn't get much if we registered there.
