Infertility

Do others have to pee frequently and violently on stims?

I'm peeing twice as much and when I have to go, it's almost crampy.... I have to go immediately. Is this in my head? Could this be my enlarged ovaries?

Re: Do others have to pee frequently and violently on stims?

  • I am having this image of a crazed, aggressive woman "peeing violently." Chuckles...in all seriousness, I didn't experience this while on stims. After ER I took medrol (a steroid) for a few days which had me up every 2 hours in the night to pee. If urination is painful, it might be worth a call to your doc...possibly a UTI? I'll be interested to hear if others experienced this during stims. Good luck!

  • chicory I knew violently was a bit strong, but it gets the point across :) It's not really pain, it's just very urgent and feels like I have had to go for hours and have been holding it.

I've blamed a lot on IVF that I'm sure is unrelated, so I don't doubt that I could be imagining this. I also am constantly aware of my ovaries right now, so it could just be added awareness to that area. I'm probably just crazy.....

  • Omg, I'm so glad you posted this. I've been feeling the same way. It must be the increased ovary size?? I think the hurting part is the ovaries too. So weird.
