Zantac relief

Is the Zantac for the relief of the burn  assoc.  with reflux in LO's throats or does it help for the spit up?I am guessing for the discomfort.  I forget and just wanted clarification.

    It helps with the burn. Our pedi said it won't stop the spitting up. That will stop when babys tummy muscles develop more around the time they are able to sit on their own.
