Hi ladies- I'm new to this board. I'm Kelley, age 31, and my husband and I conceived our little one via IVF after years of struggling with male and female IF issues. At 25 weeks (because I have PCOS) I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I've been managing my glucose levels with finger sticks and diet. I'm now almost 35 weeks and in the past 10 weeks I haven't gained an ounce of weight (at one point I actually lost weight, but it's not evened out). Is this normal for others with GD? I mean I'm not complaining, but I want to make sure this isn't hurting our little one. At week 25, I just cut out all junk food and started eating low carb to manage my levels.
Thoughts?
IVF #1 Oct 2013- cancelled IVF #2 Mar 2014- success.... baby girl born 11/28/14 FET #1 Mar 2016- baby boy due 12/16/16
I am 28wks and only have gained 5lbs. I lost some in the beginning. I am considered overweight though before I got pregnant. But since I am also on a low carb diet for GD my drs say this is normal.
