We usually get something we need for the house. This year it's new living room curtains and an area rug for our bedroom.

Only sometimes, when we know the other wants something so badly, then we get it a surprise... we don't speak about it, so sometimes one of us gets and the other doesn't but that is fine

It just depends. I feel like it changes from year to year.

Yea we do. We give each other gifts for everything. Birthdays, Christmas etc.

Yup! But this year I'm going to suggest one gift to each other. We did one big gift and one small gift last year. This year we also bought a tree, stockings, tree skirt and other Christmas decorations so maybe we will do one small gift.

I clicked ss because we are all over the place on gifts. Sometimes we buy gifts to exchange, some years we say let's just save our money because neither of us need anything, and some years we buy a joint gift. Last year we bought ourselves a nice camera. This year we are planning to not buy anything for ourselves because we are trying to pay some stuff down.

I put no but we do stocking stuffers fir each other, so no big deal presents. He buys what he wants throughout the year so it was always so hard to come up with gift ideas for him and I never can think of something I really want. So we decided our money could go towards gifts for kids or other things.

Yes. DH LOVES gifts. It's his love language. It doesn't even matter if it's something huge or small. He just loves gifts, both giving and receiving.

For his birthday, I usually do a week's worth of gifts. I have him open one gift a day leading up to his birthday. It's really entertaining watching him light up with opening a gift.

I like gifts. We keep it small and thoughtful but I like giving and getting presents.

DH loves receiving gifts, but hates spending money. It makes gift giving events a little awkward - especially when everything on his wish list is >$100. :-q

We do! We buy each other things we wouldn't buy for ourselves but would like. I usually get jewelry.

DH loves gifts, giving and receiving. This year we are going to have to tone it down though.

yes, but we set a budget and usually get each other a few things--christmas is bigger than birthdays for us.  he never knows what to get me, so I always end up giving him a wish list, so I am never surprised.  I like giving gifts and taking the time to pick out something that he will love.

This mostly. He always says we won't but then he still gets me something anyways because I think he feels he needs to and I am a giver. Seriously big I was rich I'd always be getting gifts for people. I love it.
