Almost 4 Year Old Loves Strangers

So our DS will be 4 next month and he has no stranger danger and it freaks me out. Once he knows someone's name he "knows them" and "loves them." He'll introduce himself and talk to anyone and everyone and we always tell him not to talk to strangers. Anyone else go/going through this? Any ideas to "fix" this?

DD is 2 and we have the same problem. I am going to take Lala Mama's advice and try and explain more about strangers. In the mean time maybe we should get leashes (lol jk).

Dd just turned 2 and will go up to anyone and would probably go with them too if asked. It acres me to death and I get made fun of by my friends for keeping such a close eye on her. I too will be more selective in how I define stranger.

My parents had theyr 25th anniversary party on Sunday and after being extremely shy when we arrived, DS gave everyone at the party (20+ people) a hug before we left (at least their legs got hugs). I'd never see him that overly friendly before it was cute and weird at the same time. I don't want him to not trust people, as most people are generally good, but I totally have the paranoia of him running into that one person that isn't "generally good".
