I was told to take supplements but there are so many different kinds, I spoke with my doctor about this and know the amount of Iron I need to intake but I was wondering what works for you ladies as well. I know Nature's Best(?) has an Iron supplement that is 27 mg Iron, but there is also the ferrous sulfate of 325 mg. Is there a certain brand you like better than others?
**Update: I was taking 27 mg Iron (this is roughly 150 mg ferrous sulfate) twice a day and as per my doctor began taking the 65 mg Iron once a day on Monday. I had really bad pain in my upper and lower jaw when I woke up on Tuesday, attributed it to swollen gum flair up from brushing too hard. Tuesday night I spiked a fever and the pain was still there along with a sore throat. My doctor gave me away to get the fever down and they called back today. My reaction was to the increased one dose of iron, common side effects you don't think of or that usually aren't discussed, so if you experience something similar call your doctor ASAP. It can be dangerous the longer it goes.

Re: Anemia (Iron Supplements) *update*
I took iron everyday before pregnancy and just took palafer. Now that I am pregnant and poops are scarce I find more lucky with that gross herbal liquid drink.
