Welcome to the November Tiny Turkeys Check-In!!!  Check-ins will be every Monday & Thursday. Your check-in leaders are @cwoodward777 (Monday) and @marianass (Thursday).

 

This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for November. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below.  Please include what cycle number this is for you, where you are in the process, when you expect to start stims, and when you're planning on retrieval and transfer.  Also, please update us along the way!

Hello Tiny Turkeys!!

I am still on BCP for 5 more days!!!  I start Lupron this Wednesday!!!  We need to pick up our meds this evening to get ready to start stims!!!  I am ready to get this party started!!!  Hope everyone is having a good week!!

QOTD - My favorite toy was my Light Bright!  I would spend hours making my own creations!!  Still today it makes me happy thinking of my Light Bright!!!

AFM, Yesterday was my last BCP and today I dropped my lupron dose down to 5 units.  I have my follow up RI b/w Wednesday to see how the pred is working on my NKC and cytokines and my baseline u/s and b/w is Thursday.  If all looks good I start estrogen priming Friday evening.

QOTD: Hmmm... My twin sister and I had an awesome Barbie collection and my dad built us an awesome house for them.  The other thing that stands out is Mall Madness.  DH and I dug it out of the basement and played it a few years ago.  Still fun as adults.

Happy Monday, ladies! I survived my big day at work on Saturday and everything seems to have gone reasonably well. Yay. Spent 12 hours at a film festival yesterday after visiting MIL in the hospital, much to my foster kittens' dismay, as no one was home to pay attention to them most of the day. Now I'm sitting here at work fighting falling asleep -- don't feel like I had much of a weekend.  But, ready or not, it is Monday. :-) I am making progress toward my FET. I went off BCP on Friday, AF arrived on Sunday. I also reduced Lupron and added my first estrogen patch yesterday. 9 days until my baseline scan and everything is moving along like clock work. Feeling pretty good right now.

QOTD: This is a tough one... I might have to say my LEGOs. I loved those things -- theDuplos and all. I wasn't much for following kits, but loved building my own creations.

So excited for all of us to get this show on the road! 1 week left of BCPs, leaving today for a ten day trip to Europe so looking forward to what will hopefully be our "last hurrah" trip!

I always loved the board game Clue. But (and now I'm going deep) my brother and I specifically loved the Special Edition one with extra characters (I was always Miss Peach) which is IMPOSSIBLE to find nowadays!

I had blood work done on Friday and my levels are good, so I will continue on Estrace until 10/27.
Dealing with an insurance issue right now so not as happy as I should be that this is moving forward. But hoping that it will get worked out soon and I can stop worrying.

Favorite toy as a kid, I had a fisher price stereo with speakers, I thought it was the best thing ever. I listened to Thriller and Flashdance on vinyl until I wore them out.....yup Vinyl, I am old.

Hi ladies!
I started Lupron on Wednesday 10/15 and will stop the BCP tomorrow. Trying to stay optimistic as last week DH went in to freeze for a back up for the day of retrieval and his count was 0. It's always been extremely low at 10,000 but we have never had a 0 count so I'm a little anxious about that. We're going to try again tomorrow...hoping for better results..hope everyone else is having a great week...

FX for you and your DH @Pcmay20!!! We had the same problem last month when my RE asked us to freeze 3 vials, the last one came 0!!! But DH's urologist said that his numbers may vary widely in the first two months of Clomid... We will have another appointment this Friday (after 3 months on Clomid) to check his numbers... I am so anxious and afraid

cwoodward777, glad you didn't break anything. last year I fell down the stairs and dislocated my pinky. it was swollen for a week, and when the swelling went down, the bone had dislocated. Now I have a dented pinky.

AFM: Yesterday, drove 1 1/2 hour to Philadelphia to eat birthday dinner at a paki restaurant. TMy birthday was on Friday but waited till Sunday, since that's when DH takes off work.  Had so much fun. last week of BCP. MIL is coming on Nov. 1, and she will be staying for awhile. I was thinking of doing monitoring at the Clinic in Albany, but I won't be able to go until a week after her arrival. I asked the RE if I can take the bcp for another week, and start stimms second week of November. Now we DH and I have to discuss if we really need to go there or just do local monitoring. I also asked the RE if the monitoring results were off and you went with what was sent. He said the results her got were good, but my ovaries didn't want to cooperate, and were stubborn in responding. I even asked if we should do low dose HCG, and he said Menopur does have HCG, and hje would rather do menopur than low dose HCG. if this cycle fails, I'll push for the HCG. 

QOTD: Loved Barbies, and my dad got me a walking talking doll from Germany, and I loved it, but my brothers broke it. My mom kept it in glass for awhile, but don't know where it is now. My uncle got me another one few years later, but the next day, my brother tried to make it sit, and it never walked again. Brothers liked to experiment on my toys.

I started bcp's on Saturday. My baseline ultra sound and mock transfer is next  Monday and I start Lupron next Tuesday. My specialty pharmacy is waiting on some paper work from the RE before they ship my meds, so I am a little anxious about that.

QOTD: I loved playing with my dolls. I use to take them everywhere like they were real. I would fix their hair and dress them for church. I loved Barbies too!

Ugh, that's a tough question. There were so many great toys from the 80s. But Barbies was my favororite.

Nothing new to report.  5 days left of BCP.  I started lupron Saturday.  No crazy side effects yet.  For those who hate lupron, how long did it take for the side effects to show?

QOTW:  I guess it depends on age.  I'd do with Barbies, riding my bike, and the Nintendo 64.

I start my antagonist tonight! I'm so nervous as I've never given myself a shot before! Lol I loved playing with my stuffed animals, cabbage patch dolls, Barbies, and my brother's cars, Transformers, and Star Wars action figures! We played a lot together for hours...

@alpCRNA - I had side effects with Lupron the entire time I was on it starting day. Sorry! I hope you are different!!

I loved Barbies growing up also!! I had the Barbie dream house and corvette!!! In fact the Barbie dream house is what made me realize Santa was my parents. I found the box in the basement. I asked my brother why Santa would leave the box in our basement, and he told me I was stupid for believing in Santa! I asked my parents and they could not answer quick enough. I stormed off saying I hate Santa.  LOL!!  Oh to be young again!!!  BTW I still believe in Santa!!

Sorry so late...parent conferences have taken over my life tonight and tomorrow night. Ugggh!! Tomorrow night is my last BCP!!!! Yayyy. Lupron has been ok so far. No complaints just want to keep this moving.

QOTD- I loved Barbies. But when I was little my little tikes kitchen set was always fun!! Or the little tikes dollhouse I had the one with the blue roof and the one with the pink roof. Love them!!!

Good evening everyone! AF arrived today  I go in for baseline ultrasound and bloodwork on Wednesday, start on BC Wednesday just until Monday when I start stims (my Dr. does IVF cycles in groups).

Hi girls I love hearing about all these fun toys from our childhood! My favorite was playing Barbies with my sister @Ducky719‌ We had this giant tub of our dolls and accessories. I would always set my heart on a specific outfit, and fumble to find the teeny, tiny matching shoe. Somehow, my sister was able to dig it out in less than three seconds EVERY TIME! It was pretty amazing. And fun!

I just took my last BCP an hour ago!!! ::happy dancing:: I truly hope that this is the last time I will ever need to go on the pill. Ever. Lupron, Metformin, Prednisone, Synthroid & a lot of supps continue. I'll go in for my first estrogen check on 10/27, and then start the Delestrogen. My donor is going in on Thursday for something... I think it's too early for her baseline, so maybe the FDA testing? I made a little goody bag for her which includes funny bandaids, chocolate, C+B donor program, and a thank you card. I am so incredibly thankful for this opportunity, I can't fully put it into words.

On another note, this Wednesday is the BFN anniversary for IVF #1..... I cannot believe that we have been doing IVF for a full year... I cannot believe all that we have been through. I cannot believe that we're still going. It's just mind blowing!!! I really hope that this is finally our cycle.

Just popping in to throw out hugs and well wishes for everyone starting their prep and stims this week. I have nothing to report. Still on BCPs until the nurse calls this week with my protocol and orders my meds.

QOTD: I LOVED my Barbie dolls, but I also grew up with an older brother so I wanted to play everything he did. I remember board games like mouse trap, monopoly, sorry, and clue.

I have an US a week from today and if all goes well will be starting stims on 10/31...I am so ready to get started but also terrified of the shots!!!  I feel like we have been waiting forever.

Sorry, late check in, but nothing exciting. I start Lupon on Thursday (nervous about giving myself a shot) and take my last BCP on Monday. I'm so excited to get this started.

QOTD: I loved my pocket rocker. I had "Walk like an Egyptian", "Manic Monday", "I think we're alone now". That thing was the hotness.

@jeezidunno - yes stimming is when ever you start meds other than BCP.  Lupron counts as starting to stim!!!  BTW I loved that toy as well.  It was some spiral game that was addicting!!!

AFM, I started BCPs Saturday. I have a baseline US on the 30th and if all looks well we will order meds and get this show on the road, starting Stims the 7th.

 QOTW: I loved so many toys it's hard to choose! I was big into board games, puzzles, and riding my bike. I was into barbies, but usually my mean sister and I would fight the whole time we were trying to play so it wasn't worth it. My grandma however made me a troll house out of plastic canvas, and all the accessories that go in it. I moved onto trolls without that witch :>

Hi Turkeys, I'm crossing over from the acorns since it looks like I wont be having ER till November. I just got the go ahead to start stims on Friday and since they want me stimming longer than my last IVF cycle It will be at least 10 days before  ER.

QOTD: I have 4 brothers and sisters and when we were younger we would all take turns playing this relatively unknown game on out SEGA called Bubsy. The power cord for the console was broken so we had to be very careful not to move it but we would sit around and play for hours. I actually found the game on Ebay last year and we played at Christmas. I think we all realized how awful it actually is. I also loved to play board games; monopoly and mancala (sp?) were my favorites.

Hey guys! I am so excited to be here. A little info on me is we are severe MFI and this will be my 3rd IVF cycle. We tried cycling with a new clinic in February of this year and it was horrible results on my end of things. They felt they over suppressed me so this time around I am not doing any Lupron this time around. I started BCP yesterday and will start stims on the 8th. They are expecting around the 20th for retrieval.
