2WW over. BFN (Warning pregnancy and LO) guess I'm here for a while.

So I have just completed my first round of IUI. BFN. What a roller coaster ride this has been. Logically I understand that there was only about a 20% chance of it working, but felt like we had lots of odds in our favour. I'm okay now, and will follow up this stressful day with something alcoholic, but it's been quite an experience. I know I'm emotional etc., but everything is setting me off. To start with the lovely pregnant receptionist at the RE's office. Can't help but feel annoyed and jealous whenever I see her. I go between good advertising and insensitive staffing. And then I tell my friend, she was sorry for me, but then proceeded to talk about being upset with her son's daycare providers for not putting a hat on him in windy weather. I love her and him, but I just can't do it right now. Thankfully DH was home when I got the results call ( which took all day to get btw) and he is amazing and supportive. We will talk tomorrow about our next steps. Might bench ourselves until after Xmas and a sunny vacation. But that's for tomorrow's conversation. Thanks for listening and being here as an understanding outlet of support.

10/14 - #2 IUI (Femera/ovidrel/progesterone ), 2 follies 19/20, post wash 111 million, BFN Dec 2014 Femera BFFN Taking a break to explore foster to adopt!

    So sorry about your BFN. I understand that even though you logically know that the chances for an individual cycle are low, it's still really painful when it doesn't work out. I am currently 10dpiui from my first IUI today and tested negative today, so I am preparing myself for the same blow in a couple of days. Take care of yourself.

    So sorry... I was hoping yours would be a positive.  Mine was BFN as well... After I found mine out I was holding out hope for you.  Looks like we'll be back at it next month.

    Married: 6 years

     TTC since: Sept 2010

    Diagnosis: Stage 4 Endometriosis, Hashimoto's

    Treatment: Lupron (3/2010 – 9/2010 & 7/2013 – 2/2014)

    April 2013 - BFP – missed mc confirmed 5/08/2014. D&C 5/22/2014

    Sept/Oct 2014: IUI #1 (Gonal F + HCG) = BFN

    Oct/Nov 2014: Temporarily Benched due to multiple cysts on each ovary.

    Nov 27: IUI #2 (Gonal F + HCG) = BFP

    So sorry!  HUGS to you!  Please be kind to yourself this weekend, and enjoy lots of wine.
    Me: 31 (PCOS) possible right tube issues DH: 36 (SA normal) 
    Started dating in 2006, Married 2012 
    TTC since November 2013 
    First RE visit due to irregular periods: June 2014
    Lap/Hysto to remove polyps, cyst and tube blockage 11/6
    Cycle 1 (Dec. 2014) TI with Clomid, Trigger, & Progesterone CX due to no response
    Impatiently Waiting CD1 to try again with Fermara Back on the bench due to giant cyst,
    who know I'd ovulate on my own after a cancelled cycle and end up with a mega cyst :(

    4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
    All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

    5 IUIs = BFN

    I hate the BFN day so so much. I'm sorry.

    I know what you mean about the pregnant lady at the RE. Last time I was at mine they had just found out one of them was pregnant and they all did the squeals of joy. In the middle of the waiting room. Wtf?!

    06/11- diagnosed with PCOS 
    7/11- D&C and benched for a year 
    9/12-4/13-6 rounds of 50 mg Clomid- no sucess 
    6/13- new doc
    7/13-4/14- 6 more rounds of Clomid. 50 mg and then stepped up to 100mg- no success 
    5/14-7/14- took break waiting for new insurance 
    7/14-new insurance= new doc- actually a RE!!!! 
    7/14-HSG and blood test good-PCOS confirmed by new doc 
    10/14 looking forward to 1st IUI w/ Menopur. Blood Test= Negative
    11/14- IUI #2     w/ Menopur- Blood Test= Negative
    1/15- IUI # 3 w/     Menopur- Blood Test= Negative
    2/15- Self Benched this cycle
    3/15/15-Suprise BFP on natural cycle!!!! EDD-11/16/15

    So sorry about your BFN. I got one last week...I've been drowning my sorrows in alcohol. Glass of wine here and there. Extra good sangria tonight. Hugs to you!!

    February 2014:     Officially TTC (BBT, OPKs, etc)
    February-August 2014: Irregular Cycles, U/S showed Fibroids/Cysts, Provera required to get AF, BFNs
    September & October 2014: Testing Months with Reproductive Endocrinologist!
    DH's SA: Normal (116.4 million sperm, 97% motility, 36% morphology) - WHO criteria
    DH's Repeat SA: Poss. Low Morph. (138 million sperm, 73% motility, 8% morphology) - Kruger criteria
    HSG and SIS: Normal (tubes clear)
    Medicated Cycle:     5mg Letrozole + Trigger Injection + TI = BFP!!

    ESTIMATED DUE DATE: AUGUST 13, 2015

    Beta #1: 12/8 - 1,040 Beta #2: 12/10 - 2,902 Beta #3: 12/16 - 19,321
    Ultrasound #1: 12/12 (5 weeks 1 day) - Gestational sac and yolk sac present
    Ultrasound #2: 12/18 (6 weeks 0 days) - Measuring good, heart rate 99
    Ultrasound #3: 12/26 (7 weeks 1 day) - Measuring good, heart rate 150

    Sorry about the BFN. Even when you're somewhat prepared for it, it still feels like taking a bullet. I'm glad your DH is so supportive & is awesome at making you feel better.

    08/2014-Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI + 2nd trigger= BFN
    09/2014-Clomid 100mg + trigger + IUI + 2nd trigger= BFN
    10/2014-benched due to RE out of town, tying naturally!
    11/2014-benched due to cyst
    12/2014-Femara 5mg + stair step with additional 5 days Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI=BFN
    01/2015-Femara 5mg + Gonal F 25 units + trigger (plus additional Gonal F 100 units on trigger night) + IUI= BFP!!! Twins due 10/2015
    09/28/2015- Surprise!  Conrad and Hudson born at 35w6d!

    I am so sorry. No BFN is fun, but the one after the first IUI feels particularly crappy. Even when you know that it is coming there is a little voice in your head that says "well maybeee..." Whether you bench or try again next cycle, good luck!

    IUI #4 (5 mg Letrozole, Follistim, Ovidrel, Crinone) on 12/26/2014: BFP!!!

    I'm so sorry the IUI wasn't successful. Sending you lots of hugs! I've heard on here that the success rates stay the same for the first 3, so keep your head up.

    Me: 27 DH: 35

    TTC #1 Since July 2013

    Started RE Testing July 2014

    2 HSG tests: Right tube is blocked, possible endo.

    TSH elevated, started Synthroid 25 mg daily.

    October, 2014: Femara 5 mg + TI ---> 3 follies on blocked tube side ---> BFN

    November, 2014: Femara + Ovidrel + IUI#1--2 follies (on the good side), 46 mil. motile sperm=BFN

    Nov-Dec 2014: Femara + Ovidrel + IUI #2 (1 follie, 76 mil. motile sperm) + Endometrin=BFN

    January, 2014: Femara + Ovidrel + IUI #3 (1 follie, 38 mil. motile sperm)=???

    New RE appt. scheduled for 1/14.

    @Ann612 WHAT??!? That is ridiculous!
    right?  I was in the 2WW so while I recognized it as inappropriate, I didn't get too upset.  But I did tell DH that if I was at my day 2 or 3 appointment (i.e. still feeling the disappointment of getting AF), I would have lost it.

    Thanks everyone for the support. It is hard but we made it through it. Moving forward one step at a time. We are going to explore a medicated cycle without the wash as we have to pay out of pocket and feeling a bit tight right before Christmas. I was around a friend of a friend who is very pregnant yesterday. She is 40 and this was very much a surprise pregnancy for her (she has two little ones that she had great difficulty TTC). Even though it stung to see her pregnant, it gave me lots of hope that it can happen. Even for people who have TTTC.
