Textured Solid Food

We're finding the transition from pureed foods to solids very difficult. DS seems to spit out food that has more of a solid texture.  Other than bread, cheerios, bananas and avocados, he does not want solid food.  Is it just patience and time? I want to make sure he gets a balanced diet, but I also want to stop relying on pureed foods to do so.

Re: Textured Solid Food

  • In my experience this is a phase.  Just keep offering it to him and eventually he will eat.  Don't offer a ton of something just a few bites until you see him like something.    I love using canned veggies like green beans and carrots because they are really soft and they can feed themselves.  Maybe try softer cheeses like muenster, mandarin oranges, cottage cheese....these are all winners in our house.  GL!
