Does a non-filler one syllable middle name exist? (Girl)

Our current front runner name is Veronica, nn Ronya (ROH-nya, it's a Swedish thing).

Our two syllable last name starts with J, so I'm thinking Jade and Sage are out. Lynn is also out because Ronyalin sounds too much like a Star Trek villain. No to Quinn or Gwen as well. The only other thought I have is Rose. Maybe Leigh?

Any ideas? I'm open to quirky suggestions like Blue btw. If you like it, I might too.

  • I mean, filler is relative. Mine is Ann, which I'm assuming what you mean by a filler, but its my grandmother's mn and two of my cousins too. DD2 is Rae, after my dad and brother.

But I like Blair, Sloane, Claire, Jane, Liv, Belle

Eve, Brynn, Fay (love this one), Gray, Maeve, Neve, Pearl, Reese, Shea, Wren

Or you can use a family name. I wanted DD's MN to be one syllable, and we used Miles because it's a surname on DH's side of the family

  • Love the suggestion of Veronica Skye.

    I will suggest Veronica Blythe.

  • Thanks for the ideas! I think my favs are Rose, Leigh, Jade, Faye, Belle, and Rain. (It's raining now, as it happens.) As far as the nn, it is related to compromise with DH. We have such different naming styles. I have a really simple name, so I've always been drawn to long, multisyllabic girly names like Jessica, Vanessa, Sabrina, etc. My husband likes the short and Swedish, like Anja, Nova, Malin, etc. Since discovering lately that Veronica has a popular Swedish nn, I've really latched onto it. :) So far it has stayed at the top of the list for five days now, which is some kind of record for us. This naming board has been so helpful in the elimination process. For example, a while back, we were totally set on the name Mirabel (Swedish nn=Mira). Then someone on here said it sounded more like a horse name...And I realized that really did seem like the perfect name for a horse. Anyway, thanks once again.

  • My middle name is Lee. I've always loved it and plan to use it for my future children's middle names as well.
