Re: ***Sunday Ticker Change Check In***

  • How far along are you? Fruit if you know?

34 weeks and he is the size of a butternut squash.

    How are you feeling?

I've been feeling good physically just very tired and try to nap if I get the chance.

Any recent or upcoming appointments or milestones?

Just a bi-weekly appointment (I think they turn weekly after this). I believe my doctor will give me am actual physical exam this week.

    Thoughts/vents:

Really ready to meet him and hope these last few weeks fly by. I have been having more and more anxiety during this last stretch and just want him here in my arms.

QOTW: Halloween will be here next month. What is your favorite Halloween outfit that you wore or if you don't have one, what is the best one you have seen? Extra points for a photo ;)

I was never very original when it came to dressing up but my best Halloween costume was probably when I was about ten or eleven and I dressed up as an old man. It was a little creepy but so fun.

  • How far along are you? Fruit if you know?

    23 weeks - grapefruit

    How are you feeling?

Pretty good. I'm finally getting to a point where I'm getting stuff done rather than just sitting around all day long.

Any recent or upcoming appointments or milestones?

Had a check up last week and everything looks good. Next appointment in about 3 weeks, and then I'll start going every 2 weeks.

     Thoughts/vents:

Some days I feel huge and others I feel fairly small... I don't remember feeling like this with my first two ptegnancies... also I'm so very happy that its FINALLY cooling down around here! It's still upper 80s most days, but that's a vast improvement from the 100s.

QOTW: Halloween will be here next month. What is your favorite Halloween outfit that you wore or if you don't have one, what is the best one you have seen? Extra points for a photo

No photo, and my favorite costume by far was when I was just 4 or so. I was a daisy and my mom had a photo blown up poster size hanging in her bedroom. I have to admit, I was pretty darn cute!

  • How far along are you? Fruit if you know?    13 weeks, peach!

How are you feeling?   This last week has been tough as I've thrown up a few days for the first time. Even though I feel like utter crap and have been going to work and realizing when I get there I didn't comb my hair.... I'm so happy :)

Any recent or upcoming appointments or milestones?   I had my first MFM appointment last Tuesday. She did a full ultrasound of baby plus they did the NT scan. All looks good and our risks for Downs, Trisomy 13 and 18 are very very low. That puts a small portion of my mind at ease for now.

Thoughts/vents: My house is a disaster... I'm too tired to clean it like it should be cleaned and DH only helps to make it messier. :::sigh::::  I asked him awhile ago if I could pay our neighbor to clean the house monthly, I think I'm going to make an executive decision and hire her.

In college, my friends and I and our guy friend went as Hugh Heffner and the bunnies, LOL I think that was the best I've ever come up with or been a part of. The pic is super small I don't know how to fix it...must have scanned in that way sorry  :(

  • Hi Ladies. May I join ya? I don't have an actual ticker in my siggy but my week does change over on Sunday. (forgive me if i forget to update till Monday. Sometimes on the weekend I don't bump. And some days I just get too tired!)

How far along are you? Fruit if you know? 13 weeks! Peach according to bump, according to my pregnancy journal a kiwi

How are you feeling?  tired, GASSY, and just kinda yuck. I feel nauseated after I eat. Also feeling excited and kinda nervous. We plan on going public sometime next week.

Any recent or upcoming appointments or milestones? Oct 7 we go in for an appointment. If all is well we will be calling grandparents and doing a photo reveal on fb. (I have a few ideas for that, I'll share what we decide to do. =)

Thoughts/vents:  Gas hurts. Like wow ouch. I've been told I should start getting more energy soon. Gosh I hope that is true. I've been a total zombie. But I did just finish crocheting a cowl neck scarf... because it is one thing I can do that doesn't zonk me out. lol

QOTW: Halloween will be here next month. What is your favorite Halloween outfit that you wore or if you don't have one, what is the best one you have seen? Extra points for a photo
I LOVE HALLOWEEN! Well really I love costumes. Any excuse to wear one. (Halloween, Renaissance Faire, Cosplay... whatever! LOL) and I love seeing all the kids in their costumes and handing out candy. =)     I have had many awesome ones... but I think my favorite was when Hubby and I were a combo. I was a Vampire (I do Vampires a lot. I like Vampires lol) and I made him a shirt that says "dinner" and put a fake bite on his neck. Oh and he had a rope tied around him so he can't get away. lol....  We've also done pirates with a flag and music and everything. (kid friendly!) The kids loved that.  And for a party last year I was Abby from NCIS. lol. I LOVE costumes! The only reason I haven't picked one for this year is I have no idea how much belly I will have... lol    The bottom one is from 2012   The top is from 2013 (I lost 53 pounds in between years! =) )imageimage

  • @racegurl87 The 6th is so soon!!! Can't wait to hear all about it! I hope you feel better.

@morethansparrows08 Enjoy those bursts of energy in the second trimester while you have them because at least for me lately in the third trimester I have become a total lazy bum. Your daisy costume sounds so cute! Glad the weather has been cooling down for you. That helps a lot.

@kflynn81 Congrats on the great scan! I am thrilled for you. That's a huge milestone! Love your Halloween photo!

@backstreetpixie Welcome to the check-in! Please do share how you end up doing your announcement. Love your costume choices -- so creative. 53 pounds is amazing! How did you do it?

@shandorflm2 Sorry you are leaving us for Wednesday check-in but thanks for letting us know. Thinking so many positive thoughts for you.

@linden25 I am so glad your MFM appointment went well and that baby girl is right on track. Another opportunity to see your baby girl will be great! My son was breach at my 29 week scan and I think he has flipped now based on the movement I have felt. Your baby girl still has plenty of time to flip. That's so exciting about your nursery coming together. My son has nicer furniture then we do too haha. Please do share pictures. We would love to see it. Also, love your loofah sponge idea. I think I saw a similar costume on my November board -- very creative!

  • @jess123455. To lose the weight first. The feetility doc told me he would not help till i lost weight. So for the first time ever I was motivated. I bought an exercise bike and used it 5 days a week (starting at 10 min a day and uping it 5 mins every week till I got to an hour) the real kicker was food. I stopped eating fast food, and prepackaged boxes food. Read ingredients and stopped eating anything with ingredients i could not pronounce or recognise as food. I was sure to make each meal half plant. (Fruit or vegetable) I also limit red meat. Once every 2 weeks. It was a permanent change. Not a "diet" but now here I am 13w1d pregnant and can't stick to it atm. But i hope to get back to it soon! Oh also 2L of water a day and I quit sodas.

That's great! That takes so much self discipline. It is amazing how much food really makes a difference. I am already thinking about how I am going to get myself back in shape after November.

  • Sorry for late reply!
I'm 9 weeks. An olive, other sires say grape. I like that better.

I'm feeling pretty good. A little more energy. Eating a little bigger snacks so I'm eating every 3 hours instead if every 2. Get pretty bloated by the end of the day. My size 4 jeans are not my friends anymore.

Next appointment is Friday with my new OBGYN and midwife team. Hope to hear heart beat for the first time!
My EDD with my loss is Oct 8.

I don't celebrate Halloween so I will take a pass on that on.

Thoughts- I'm so happy my DH is getting excited. He's calling me Mommy and Baby maker and when I apologize for being tired or hungry or grumpy, he says its OK, I'm making him a baby. :)
Also was at our congregation last night, and I felt like I was in a doctors office. So many ppl were sneezing, sniffly, and coughing. We left early. Not worth getting sick right now when we can listen on the phone.

@asrdh Glad you have a little more energy. I busted out my maternity jeans at around 10 weeks I think... made a world of difference. Thinking of you today for your appointment and also thinking of you for your upcoming loss EDD.
  • My appointment was wonderful! Thank you @jess123456‌
